Our Lady Of Guadalupe School - La

Our Lady of Guadalupe School, one of a number of schools built in the Archdiocese through the efforts of Cardinal McIntyre, was ready to open in the fall of 1950.
We strive to create a community of faith that recognizes the special talents and dreams of our students and develops them within a spirit of God's love.
We aim to create a climate that is conducive to the total growth of the student and builds a pathway to the future.
We, as Catholic educators, recognize that all persons are created in the image and likeness of God, and that all persons have equal dignity.
We recognize Jesus as Lord.  It is upon these principles that we encourage in our students a respect of self and one another, a consciousness for justice and obligation to service.
We see our role as integral to the mission of the parish community.
As such, the evangelizing and catechizing mission of the parish must be among our priorities, and an integration of the faith of the family into the life of the school.
It is in that way that the students can become free, responsible and loving Christian members of our society.
We wish to promote within our students an appreciation of culture, especially the Latino culture, whose values of family life and devotion are significant to the development of the school and parish community.
