Our core values are Christ-likeness, family, and quality
education.
Our mission as a school is to provide individualized education that allows children to meet their full academic potential with the best possible learning experience. We also place a strong emphasis in involving families at our school, and partnering with them to provide the best possible education for their children. We realize that children are the future, and the most important job of parents and teachers is to shape the values of our children and open up the world and its' possibilities to them.
As a small private school, we are able to provide individualized attention and personal involvement with all of our students. We have a unique integrated teaching style. While providing a strong academic foundation, we also provide a huge emphasis on nature, science, and hands on learning. As a Christian school, we are grounded in God`s word and values, and believe in teaching the whole person - mind, body, and spirit. At NDCS, we actively learn by the things we do: by experimenting, creating, playing, performing, going on adventures, being outdoors, staying healthy, serving, showing kindness and compassion, taking care of God`s creation, and by having fun!

Nature Discovery is truly a unique school that teaches to the heart of the student. You walk through the halls and see the vibrant colors of their own artistry. As you visit the classroom, you will hear sounds of joy, inquisitive discussions, and at times peals of laughter. The children are cared for with compassion and love. The teachers are caring individuals and it reflects upon the students and how they care for one another.

Our son has attended Nature Discovery Christian School for two years at the pre-school level, and we couldn't be happier. His growth in basic reading, writing, and math skills has improved exponentially. The instructors create a positive environment for the children to learn. I would encourage all parents to check them out!

I can't say enough good things about this school. My son has grown by leaps and bounds. The staff is amazing, wonderful and caring. He loves going to school and talks about his teacher all the time. They truly care about each student and make sure the children get the time and attention they need. I love it and would recommend this hands down to everyone!!

Our daughter has attended NDCS since kindergarten and she loves it. Class sizes are not overcrowded and the students are given a lot of encouragement to succeed. We are very happy with the school and our daughter loves all the creative projects that she gets to work on.

I am so glad to have found this school. Our son loves it here and doing great academically. There is focused attention due to the remarkable teacher student ratio and each student allowed to work at their own pace. Great highly trained teachers, great service delivery based on Christian values. Highly recommend to other parents especially if you are concerned about your child getting lost in a large school.

We are so lucky to have found NDCS! We have a now first grader and soon to be preschooler for the year 2019-2020 and this will be our 3rd year choosing NDCS over any other school in the area. They have created an environment that supports maximum growth and learning for my child in a caring an personal way. I completely trust the Hennon family and all those they chose to guide and teach our children. NDCS encourages parent involvement to better the connection between the school and parents. We want our children to love learning and NDCS promotes that!

We now of 2 kids attending NDCS and we wanted to share how much we love this school. The kids are constantly learning with hands on learning opposed to sitting at a desk all day long. They have beautiful grounds to explore and learn from. We have observed great academic growth here and look forward to what`s ahead.

My son has attended NDCS for 6th grade (with Mrs. Llewellyn), 7th grade (with Mrs. Burton), and will be continuing at NDCS for the foreseeable future! We transitioned to NDCS directly from homeschool, and were concerned about finding a school that was the right "fit" for us. We were used to a hands-on, self-paced, creative, enthusiastic, wholistic approach to education. Never in a million years did I expect to find a school that is able to pair these same benefits of homeschooling with the structure, accountability, and social benefits of a classroom. Not to mention Christian, WITH a strong emphasis on S.T.E.M (science, technology, engineering, math). What are the odds? It really could NOT be a better fit for us! The classroom sizes (especially in the upper grades) are only about 1/4-1/3 of what you would find in a public school, allowing for a remarkable amount of individualized attention. The teachers are intelligent, experienced, delightful, well-rounded, wise, caring, and altogether passionate about learning - and that passion is most definitely passed on to their students! The owners are some of the kindest souls I have ever met. Their love for God and their enthusiasm for making learning FUN speak to the very core of the school. And over the school year, through various parent-involved field trips and team efforts at the school, the staff and other parents have become like family. I cannot imagine myself ever enrolling my child anywhere else...

My husband and I are so please with NDCS. Our son just finished Kindergarten. Academically and socially our son has grown so much. I really liked that he was sent home with a book bag every week that included 2-3 books for his reading assignment and a weekly homework sheet. I also received a detailed weekly letter from the teacher of what the students were learning and what they had planned for the upcoming week. All the staff are genuinely good- hearted, investing the time to make it a positive and successful learning experience. The classroom sizes are smaller which gives the students the one on one attention, giving your child the confidence and ability to thrive. There are beautiful school grounds for the children to play and go on nature walks with their class. We are so grateful and blessed to of chosen Nature Discovery Christian School for our son. My son is so excited to start the 1st grade this Fall.

I am so thankful to have found NDS!! They are a faith based school with an emphasis on science and hands on learning. They include music, art, P.E and bible study in their curriculum. There is a fantastic community of parents and a strong PTA. My children love it there and I Highly recommend it.
