School Reviews

MA has been perfect for our son, in his first year as a freshman. He had been in a German immersion school, Berkeley public then homeschooled for several years. He loves going to school and learning, very small classes, and tailored instruction. Also, alternative events like cooking, trips, outings, and events, are all easy due to the small size.

After struggling socially and academically with the public school system and its large sizes my son is now coming into his own after only a year at Mentoring Academy. He finally has space to breathe and is scoring straight 'A's across the board. As a black boy, we found in previous schools, the expectations were unfortunately low. Here the expectations are high yet the emotional well-being of the child is at the forefront leading to a relaxed and happy working environment. Highly recommend.
