Maranatha is a great college preparatory school that prepares students for life and college through excellent academic skills and a Biblical worldview. We have 2 kids in elementary school and they also have the opportunity to join a different array of extracurricular activities offered at the school. At the middle and high school level, there are also opportunities to join various athletic teams and events. They also have great Spanish and fine arts programs. Overall a great school to send your kids to if you want them to grow up in a loving, caring, and academically demanding school.

All schools have politics but at Maranatha it's extremely apparent where certain students and families stand. It's obvious for some families that have been there a while, or students that have parents that work for the school, are given a free pass. A get out of jail card. To name a few - double standards of dress code, tardies being overlooked, outright skipping class, making inappropriate comments both in person, online bullying - things that all schools deal with, but for the cost of a private Christian school you expect more. Any issues that are brought up are swept under the rug, to protect Maranatha's "image". Those Christian values are there to some extent, but are swept aside when not convenient. Honestly, our child had more Christian support at the public school level. It's all about checking off a box. On the educational side, the highschool English and Math department are pretty amazing, but that's it. The PE class final was a test on Peanuts....yes, Charlie Brown.....you don't expect a ton from PE, but seriously. The science class had "nature" walks - the kids Instagram posts during these walks showed the lack of educational value. Spanish - 1 chapter a month.... our middle school student at a different school learned more in one month than our highschool teen learned in one semester. FYI - the "pod" system for COVID quarantine is non-existent. If quarantine occurs, be prepared for online learning, where teachers don't always show or grade the assignments given. All in all, for a school that prides itself on Education and Christian values, that ship has long sailed. Maranatha may have been a great school years ago, but now it's a shell of its former self.

I went to Maranatha from K-12 and now my kids go to Maranatha. It`s a very high level of education and I love the caring, family style environment. My kids look forward to going to school each day and I feel comfortable that they are safe and being taught how to be good people from teachers who truly love them. We are happy to invest in our children and work hard to do so but know how great the reward is in developing the next generation.

Personally, I love every part of this school. the community is very welcoming and encouraging. The students are very friendly and always have a tremendous amount of respect for their elders. MCA teaches them all the core values that we believe in, as well as going above and beyond with getting to know them personally. they continually pray for them and treat them as if they are their own children. Maranatha puts a lot of value on the importance of education and they train them to be prepared how to deal with the world we live in as well as help them if they are struggling on an assignment. The teachers do everything they can to give them what they need and to help them do well in the class. Maranatha is ahead of most other schools. My daughter who's in 9th grade is in Geometry, her friends who all go to different public schools and are in 9th grade are just now in Algebra 1. They also have students tutor other students which is amazing because sometimes someone who is around your age gets to you better than a teacher.

I have been on staff at Maranatha Christian Academy for 20 years. Both of my children are graduates and both have moved on to complete college and enter the professional job market. I have experienced the school as a parent, teacher, and administrator and I support the school without reservation. If you are looking for a school with a true Biblical Worldview, a Biblical Statement of Faith, and a team committed to the success of your child than you need to checkout Maranatha Christian Academy.

I have three children who attend Maranatha! We have been there since my oldest started kindergarten, it is our second family! The staff and teachers go above and beyond to build relationships with our children. They help them when they struggle and will give them extra work to push them to go the extra mile. The curriculum is centered around God, which is very important to us. We love that we can pray and speak openly about our Lord! We have made lifelong friends at Maranatha!

Being a student at Maranatha is being a part of a genuine family! My teachers and the administration know me and they notice if I'm having a hard day and they speak encouragement into my life. The education here is excellent but so are the fine arts and all the activities. I am growing in my walk with God and I'm excited to come to school each day and be a part of the Maranatha family. I thank my parents often for letting me go here.

We are glad our 3 children have the opportunity to attend a Christian school from pre-K - 12th grade. MCA teachers are the school's best assets and truly care for and pray for our children in addition to encouraging them to academic excellence. All of my children are involved in sports there as well and each have an opportunity for playing time under godly, encouraging and talented coaches. The school's values correspond to our values at home - so there is continuity between what they learn at school and at home. This will set a firm foundation for life and service to Jesus Christ in whatever vocation they eventually choose. MCA has been worth the investment. Never say "I can't afford Christian school" - God always makes a way where there seems to be no way. You can't afford to lose your children to the world.

I have 2 children at Maranatha and they absolutely love it! They have been going there since Kindergarten (now 4th and 5th grade) and have met some wonderful friends and have had great teachers. Their teachers truly have a heart to serve, teach, and care for the kids. If you are looking for a great Christian education that is less expensive than other schools, I highly recommend this school. Their academics are outstanding, had a community culture, and awesome faculty.

Maranatha Christian Academy has been a blessing to our family. The school reinforces what we teach our daughters in the home. Their Christ-centered approach to education has been a very positive experience for our two girls and has shaped their Godly character. We are confident that our daughters will bring the knowledge and experiences gained from MCA to flourish at the college level.
