My daughter used to attend the preschool at LCA formerly known as the Garden School. I personally prefer the former name because that is exactly how I felt about the preschool. It was a place where children flourish and grow, spiritually, mentally and emotionally. We moved back East after her first year of preschool and I often look through the personalized yearbook that Tracey, her teacher, made for her and reminisce on those lovely preschool days. I am writing this review because after moving back East and experiencing other Christian schools, I can say beyond a shadow of doubt that the LCA preschool sets the bar very high. They go above and beyond what most preschools offer. Tracey and Mrs. Simms give their 100% into making sure their preschool is the most memorable classroom experience a child could ever experience. I dont have enough space to write all the special moments that my daughter enjoyed in that one year at this school - from engaging nature walks, to making their own healthy snacks, to sewing, to making wood crafts, to providing enriching activities with paint and othe art supplies, to sensory play stations and wooden toys and lastly circle time. Circle time was so special and it was my favorite aspect of this preschool. During the songs, I truly felt the holy spirit present. My daughter still speaks of her wonderful time at her preschool. I still remember her rosy cheeks and big smile after school, retelling all the details of her amazing day! Most importantly, Tracey and Mrs. Simms made her feel loved and special. They always greeted her with a big smile and warm hug. This kindness goes a long way with a young child. They truly show the love of Jesus to each and every child and we will always be grateful for this one year at LCA. If you are deciding on a preschool for your child, this is the school for you. Thank you Tracey and Mrs. Simms for loving each child as if they were your own. Thank you Renee for creating this school 30 years ago - your dream is impacting the lives of children in such a special way. We will never forget LCA, aka The Garden School. Kay :)
