Incline Academy with a mission to provide a carefully articulated,
highly academic program, quickly grew, adding grades yearly, into a
Pre-K through Eighth Grade School by 2001. Today, a highly
dedicated team of teachers, administrators, and staff totaling 36
professionals (44% holding advanced degrees) with an average of 10
years teaching experience, sits at the core of LTS`s success. The
student: teacher ratio is 10 to 1 with an average class size of 18.
A dedicated Board of Trustees, steadfastly working to support the
creation of a superlative independent school in the Lake Tahoe
region, helps to guide and support LTS and the Head of School. Its
recent campus renovation and expansion that includes Duffield Hall,
a new athletic and performing arts center, as its cornerstone
greatly benefits the School and entire Incline Village community is
an example of its vision for the future. Lake Tahoe School is
accredited by The Northwest Association of Independent Schools
(NWAIS) and is a member of the National Association of Independent

Our family's experience at Lake Tahoe School (LTS) in Incline Village has been wonderful, with both a middle schooler and an elementary student who started in Kindergarten. They've thrived with LTS's mix of traditional and hands-on learning. LTS is great at blending academic learning with practical experiences through events like science fairs and maker's space projects, coding, and more. With the school's growth, we're seeing more opportunities for advanced learning, which is fantastic. The creative outlets are strong also with a focus on music, drama, art, and more. The athletics programs are impressive, teaching valuable skills such as resilience and teamwork. LTS uses its beautiful Lake Tahoe setting to enhance learning outdoors. Go BOBCATS!
