Knights Academy & High School Llc

KNIGHTS ACADEMY AND HIGH SCHOOL Knights Academy & High School, LLC is designed to provide an adequate student teacher ratio so that our students receive adequate assistance and attention regarding his/her academics.
This individual approach not only allows for a more comfortable working relationship between teacher and student, but it also opens the door for them to gain an understanding of how they process information (learning style).
Although this approach is different from a traditional classroom, we believe your students' future successes are not solely contingent upon their education but also upon them being a well-rounded individual.
It is also important that our environment provides our students with the appropriate assistance and opportunity for them to recognize all their strengths, but also the chance to work on improving what they may view as their flaws.
We as a staff, dedicate ourselves to each student, always aiming to provide them with an individual approach to learning, while maintaining a safe, nurturing, and structured environment.
Our approach has many facets and because of its uniqueness, it takes getting used to by both the students and especially the parents.
First, we believe that success starts in getting to know our students as an individual.
Second, building an adequate, working relationship (trust) with the student is vital.
However, this will NOT happen overnight. It is through this, and input from all currently involved, with your student (professionals included), that we will begin to gain an understanding of how they process information academically: auditory/visually or both.
This will only happen through trial and error and by working with them over time.
All these efforts are put into place in hopes of eliminating future academic frustrations, which in turn, should build self- esteem and confidence for those who struggle in this area.
This will be implemented daily as well as on an as needed basis, {i.e.: additional tutoring} if needed.
All incoming students (if deemed necessary by the principal) are administered a diagnostic test ($250) to gage a student's functional level.
This is just another tool we implement to assist us in their educational process.
Our belief is simple, if academic information can be presented in a way that a student processes whether they are an above average, average, or below averages this teaching approach should in most cases improve a students' ability to retain, which in turn enables them to better reproduce what is expected of them.
However, that is if there are no underlying issues, such as medical/learning issues factoring in, that may or may not have been disclosed.
Therefore, parent disclosure is essential! The more information we have regarding your student, the more prepared we will be when it comes to working with them.
This will enable us to implement the necessary tools to benefit your student.
Students who remain at Knights Academy & High School, LLC for their entire educational career will be placed on a core 4 curriculum tract, and upon graduation will receive a state recognized high school Diploma.
To receive a college prep diploma, the student must meet and complete ALL required courses set forth by [BESE].

However, these students will be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony at the end of the year as well as all other senior activities offered on campus.
