A Tradition of Faith and Learning For more than two thousand years, the Catholic intellectual tradition has been the heritage of Catholic education.
This approach to learning and knowledge is the outcome of centuries of experience, prayer, action, and reflection.
Holy Cross Catholic School is pleased to share this heritage with your family and your student, regardless of your faith tradition.
In our school, learning is both an open conversation between faith and reason, and a commitment to each, because we believe that the search for knowledge and truth is also the search for God.
At Holy Cross, learning itself is an act of faith, a version of prayer, and a form of praise.

Elementary and Middle School Learning
So that all Minnesota students have access to high quality content and instruction, the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) articulates specific learning expectations for all students, setting clear standards for the subjects and content taught in Minnesota schools. These Academic Standards define what every Minnesota child should know and be able to do at the end of each grade. It also sets measures their achievement. Holy Cross meets all state standards for curriculum requirements for English language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, and physical education. Holy Cross has chosen to develop our own curriculum and standards for health, fine arts and technical education as allowed by MDE.
Our student mastery of the standards is measured through annual assessment tests that serve as a report card to schools about how we are teaching and how our students are performing.Your child`s learning at Holy Cross builds appropriate knowledge and skills across multiple learning areas. And because private education is both a choice and a financial investment that demonstrates a commitment to something far more than learning, we also teach faith, character, and virtuous behavior. These outcomes form the core of our curriculum in Elementary and Middle School.
