HCA is an exceptional school and we are blessed to have found it! In brief, although we have only been at Hillsdale for my daughter`s 1st grade year so far, due to a job relocation, we absolutely love it. My daughter originally attended Indian Rocks Christian School in Largo FL for K2, K3, K4, & K5, so needless to say, we were apprehensive to move her out of the only school she has ever known, but Hillsdale Christian Academy has exceeded our expectations by far. Her 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Mason is exceptional....we absolutely love her! She goes over and beyond to guide and uplift each child individually in order for them to reach the necessary academic goals in preparation for 2nd grade. I had the privilege to be in the classroom three afternoons a week, simply because it helped my child progress through her shyness of being at a new school for the first time. I was able to witness firsthand how much the children do on a daily basis while at school. The children are taught non-stop from the time they enter the classroom to in between specials such as ART, Choir, and PE, all the way to the minute they jump in line for afternoon pickup. They learn phonics, reading, math, science and history like I have never seen in a lower school classroom. Miss Bobbie at the front desk, Principle Henry, and Pastor Peterson are awesome too. Thank you HCA and Mrs. Mason for all you do. I highly recommend this school!
