This school is exceptional. From the moment you walk in the door, you will know it. The Administrator, Mr. Mike Brown, is a warm, caring, experienced professional. The space is very open, with lots of natural light. The teachers, wow. They are educated, patient, kind, and attentive. They truly take an interest in each child's individual journey of exploration. The toddler class is actually a caring learning environment, not a day care. :) Ms. Lacie R. should serve as a model/trainer for other teachers in this age group and Ms. Genevieve is just icing on the proverbial cake. Toilet training/familiarization starts in the toddler room. They make it a natural transition. Many of the under 2 year olds are using the toilet, almost exclusively, but it is a very low pressure environment. My daughter LOVES learning; she loves her teachers and so do I.
Every classroom has enrichment programs on Tuesdays of Spanish, P.E. (anything from gymnastics to yoga) and music. Depending on your child's age, They also have optional programs of ballet, lego robotics and soccer during the week.
I thought school at her age was no big deal, but this place gives lie to that. At this very young age it matters very much who is around them and guiding them on their learning journey. I didn't want to put my daughter in daycare, but I had to. I thought I was going to have to pick the lesser of bad options (I would prefer to parent my daughter myself) but instead, I genuinely feel like she is intellectually, physically, and emotionally enriched when she goes to school, and it makes time at home more fun for both of us! They teach them independence like setting the table (at one and a half!) and cleaning up after themselves. Watching these ladies teach has given me insight in how to be a better parent. I am doing my best to help my daughter become the best version of herself, whatever that may be, and this school feels so much like part of the family. I look forward to her continued journey with them. :)
