I am a parent of a 3rd grader and kindergartener that attend Heritage Christian School. I am so glad that I chose this school! Teachers are very caring and involved in your child's life. They encourage parental participation and return emails quickly and address every problem/concern you may have. The principal is outstanding- he leads the school with grace and compassion. He manages discipline in a constructive and positive way. Math curriculum is outstanding. Bible is a real subject and they get tested every week on a Bible memorization verse and on Bible stories/concepts. They also have weekly chapel. The classroom sizes are good, security is priority with the playground shielded from busy Rinaldi street. They offer band and choir electives starting in third grade and have plenty of intramural sports opportunities- basketball, soccer and even cheerleading clinics. One of the second grade teachers was an art major and really incorporates art into the second grade class. They also provide free before school care and after day care at a minimal cost. Drop off is easy- you don't have to even get out of your car! Finally there are great opportunities for parents to volunteer- either in the classroom, field trips, parent groups, prayer groups and school events. Very good school- very happy parents!
