We have graduated 2 of our kids from Heritage and currently have one at the school. HCA has a mission of teaming with families to create a Christ-centered education. Go EAGLES!

Bringing our four children to HCA was the best decision we`ve ever made. Our older children (5th and 3rd graders this year) have excelled in their education. Coming from public school, it`s a night and day difference and we will never go back. We have found our home and we are so thankful that The Lord led us to Heritage Christian Academy.

Our daughter loves going to school at HCA. It has never been a fight to get her in the car in their morning. She has attended SMCS - now known as HCA - for 8 years. Her teachers are encouragers and knowledgeable. This is the school you invest in for your kid. I cannot stress it enough - this school is worth every penny of tuition - and more. The graduates they turn out are ready for an abundant spiritual life, college demands, and successful family.

We love our Heritage Christian Academy school! Our son started when he was beginning Kindergarten and he is now in 5th grade. The teachers are amazing and the leadership is full of integrity. They are all very good at communicating everything all the time to the parents so we always know what is going on. We have every intention of letting our son attend HCA until he graduates 12th grade. We ask him every year if he wants to go back and every year he says definitely YES!! We are praying for you and your family to find this school family as we have. It will change your lives forever!! God bless you all who are looking into Christian education. It is life-changing.

In an area of big schools - this small school is well worth a look. Our kids have been at SMCS for 5 years & it's a blessing to know our kids friends AND their parents. We enjoy a diverse community of Christians in a setting other than church. Academics are strong, with nurturing teachers that love on kids in the lower grades and mentor the older students. The principal appears to have made diffiicult decisions recently in a committment to raising academic standards with a focus on quality hiring decisions in math & science. The theatre and band productions are immensly enjoyable when you know the performers. In athletics, SMCS provides opportunities for kids to play multiple sports while at the same time having the flexibility to be a part of other activities. Numerous student-athletes in surrounding shools work tirelessly year-round from their middle school days through high school in hopes of making one sports team at the super-sized schools. Unfortunately, a lot of those kids burn out or loose their passion for the game just as they peak at a cost of never exploring the arts. The well-rounded multi-sport student athlete of 20 years ago is back at SMCS!

We move our kids from another good Christian school to Shades Mountain Christian a few years ago and have been very thankful we did. The academic experience and Biblical foundation have been just as good but the kids have thrived socially in the smaller class environment and with the more diverse population of students.

High expectations of students and teachers who know their content and encourage students academically and spiritually are the qualities we have experienced since our children started there 2 years ago. Small class sizes are also a huge deal!
