- Harbins Preparatory School cultivates a positive and nurtuing
environment for each of our students. Creating an environment that
facilitates social, emotional and academic growth for all students
is our priority. Positive communication between teachers and
parents is important and allows us to ensure the success of all
students.
HPS was created as an alternative to traditional public Georgia Pre-K, Kindergarten and Primary Grade Programs. Our 17,500 sq. foot facility on the campus of Great Beginnings of Dacula is now open for the 2020/21 school year and beyond.
Classrooms are designed with: - Larger Floor Spaces
- Smaller Student Class Sizes
- Child-Specific Lesson Plans
- Academic Flexibility
September 30th birthday cutoff as opposed to September 1st (for County Public Schools). This creates advanced year and readiness placement options unavailable in Public School.
At HPS, the administrative staff and teachers strive to provide the most positive, encouraging and consistent environment in each classroom. Each class studies language arts, reading, math, science, social studies and character education. Students are also exposed to activities in art, music, technology and physical education. Our teachers employ a variety of teaching strategies including learning centers, literacy-based lessons, small and large group instruction, math manipulatives and other tactile methods. Field trips and in-house presentations provide real world experiences for our students to apply and further their knowledge.
Harbins Prep is a Georgia Accrediting Commission approved private school based on state and national standards - tailored to the specific needs of our students. HPS students are challenged and engaged in a positive learning environment each and every day.

Harbins Preparatory School staff has done a fantastic job of engaging my son in the learning environment and focusing on fixing his behavioral issues in the short time he`s been there. He`s excited about learning now. It`s a different experience than your standard or fancy-looking daycare programs for Pre-K, as they actually encourage learning beyond the classroom by distributing homework to your child and allowing parents to be a part of their child`s learning experience. Principal Keck and Administrative Leader Ms. Karen are truly invested in the well-being and growth of your child and give you a thorough report daily about your child`s behavior to support the behavior ratings they receive from their teachers. AJ will be attending HPS in the fall as a Kindergartner and I couldn`t be more thrilled. The school grounds are nice and the tuition is affordable. Sign up before spaces run out; glad I`ve secured my space. Note: Principal Keck, you looked great in your Squirrel Suit lol So much school spirit!!!

My child has been attending Harbins Preparatory School since Kindergarten. This is an amazing school that takes time to nurture your child's mind and character. The low-class ratios, excellent learning experience, and wonderful staff have been a blessing to my child. Harbins Preparatory School is the best!!!

Harbins Prep welcomes all students to join our positive, encouraging environment which supports the academic and social development of all students. While we will agree that particular stresses and/or personalities may be prevalent in certain instances, our positive redirection works 100% of the time. Harbins Prep does not point to faults but searches for success for all our students. All staff were in place for the entire 2018/19 school year and we thank them for their patience, flexibility and positive approach with all the students. I thank everyone for being part of our program here at Harbins Prep and we look forward to an awesome new school year! Mr Lloyd and Staff

If you care about your child's education at all you should take them to any public school as they are equipped to handle children with exceptionalities. Your child will not receive services if they need accommodations. They promised low ratios and two teachers to each classroom but they couldn't keep their staff due to a lack of support for behavior. Found students screaming and hitting teachers during morning drop off. I even saw a child throw objects across the room. This was typical and accepted behavior at this school.

I highly recommend Harbins Prep School. The owners, principal, and teachers are all so amazing. My daughter is in Pre-K and loves going to school everyday! The communication from the school and teachers is exceptional. They are always having activities that help engage the parents with their child and the community! We love HPS!

My daughter goes to Harbins Prep School, and we both love it there. As a parent you want your child's safety, and to be comfortable in a family oriented environment. This is an attribute of the school that I appreciate very much. My daughter attended Great Beginnings last year, and we got to know the staff closely. I found them all to be hands-on and altogether spectacular. The principal of Harbins Prep, Miss Amy, is a very sweet lady, and extremely interactive with the students and parents. The teachers show the same care for everyone. There are many entertaining activities that keep the students constantly engaged. My daughter is always excited about going to school every day. I am happy about how much she has already learned at the kindergarten level. I highly recommend this school for your child.

My four year old daughter has really thrived at Harbins Preparatory! She was in a private Pre-3 setting last year and did not make many academic or behavioral improvements (in terms of learning to share, play with others). In this new school setting, which focuses on creative and imaginative play, along with structured lessons and focus, she's doing amazing! Harbins Prep is a wonderful combination of play with incorporated learning. She went from disliking reading, coloring, drawing, and practicing writing to coming home and "playing school" each day and assigns herself homework to keep her school lessons going. She likes to go to school so much that she's often disappointed on the weekends that she cannot go to school! We were hesitant to put her in a bigger setting or in a brand new school, but we couldn't be happier with her success! Harbins Prep has wonderful teachers and faculty and we're so glad that we joined them on their inaugural year!

Harbin's Prep has made my son's first year of Pre-School one of the best experiences I could have asked for. Amy and the staff are genuine people who go above and beyond for each of the students in the program. My son is so excited to go to Mrs. Kelsey's class everyday. We are more than a school, we are family. While Harbin's Prep is a new school, they look for ways to improve their program everyday for our children. I highly recommend Harbin's Prep.

My oldest is in Harbins Prep and she loves it. She comes home excited to tell me what she did and show me her work. She has learned so much from being there and she makes friends with everyone. The teachers are all so nice and welcoming and loves each other students like their own.

We love Harbins prep! My daughter is a late September birthday, making her one of the younger ones, but the small student/teacher ratio makes it easy for her to stay focused. She loves her teachers, and all the activities they learn in class. All the staff is wonderful. I highly recommend enrolling your child here.
