Almost 20 years ago, I was honored to be a pioneer of Growing Minds Montessori School (GMMS) because I believed in Mrs. Ansari and the Montessori philosophy of preparing humans for life. My daughter, a recent Columbia University graduate, and my son, a candidate for Stanford University next fall, both benefited greatly from the Montessori education. That is not by chance. Parents often think learning is about the subjects taught. That`s a small part of the equation. Learning is about being disciplined, organized, and having an unyielding thirst for knowledge. With those qualities, anyone can learn anything. GMMS nurtures those characteristics, focusing on individual needs of a child, and where they are in the learning process. We all evolve at different rates. GMMS works to build a community of life-long learners supporting every member in some way. Sometimes we are teachers. Sometimes we are leaners. My kids have done well because the principles of GMMS was also reinforced at home. I`m blazing another trail with my own non-profit, The Global Resiliency Project (TGRP), where we endeavor to resolve human challenges. What we are doing directly relates to the GMMS approach to education, an approach desperately needed all over the world. Marina

There are so many wonderful things to say about Growing Minds Montessori School. Our daughter attended two years there. In those two years, she experienced so much growth, love, diversity, and culture that has shaped her into a confident, accepting and eager to learn child. Our daughter struggled with some issues as some children do, and the teachers were so amazing, loving and extremely patient with her. Growing Minds Montessori School is more than a school. It has become like an extended family to us. These teachers do more than teach. They show children the fun, the loving and the diverse part of education which builds a strong foundation for life for that child. Our daughter recently graduated Kindergarten from Growing Minds Montessori School and now will be heading into first grade with the readiness, eagerness and confidence that is needed for success. Our son is three years old and will be starting at Growing Minds Montessori School in August and we are so excited for his new journey. We thank GMMS for all that they have done for our sweet daughter.
