Grace Lutheran Christian School Photo #2 - Now is the time for a Christ-Centered private education

Grace Lutheran Christian School

Grace Lutheran School is preparing children in a Christ-centered education for today, tomorrow. and eternity.
The majority of our eighth-grade students matriculate into private high schools or the honors programs in our local public high schools. Many students are accepted into the International Baccalaureate (IB) program.
We believe that young children learn, in Preschool, at their own pace through play in a safe, respectful environment. As children learn about the world God created, they also learn to respect themselves and others. They learn social interaction and development, which means the children, start to become respectful citizens at an early age.
Grace Lutheran offers before and after school child care for our students.

School Notes

  • Grace Lutheran School first opened its doors in September 1958 as a part of the ministry of Grace Lutheran Church. The majority of our students continue into private high schools or the honors programs in our local public high schools. Many of our students are accepted into the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. Our philosophy is that young children, in Preschool, learn at their own pace through play in a safe, respectful environment. Grace Lutheran Preschool's play area reflects our belief that children need real materials (sand, dirt, water, and live animals) to learn about their world. As children learn about the world God created, they also learn to respect themselves and others. They learn social interaction and development, which means the children, start to become respectful citizens at an early age.

My husband and I have five boys. We sent all five to a neighboring private school, Sacred Heart. Our first two sons attended from K-8th grade. With every passing year, however, that school forced out their talented teachers making it an unbearable place to send our children. In October 2018 a large group of SHS parents and I drove to Grace Lutheran, completely unannounced, to inquire about enrolling our children at their school. The principal dropped everything and gave us a tour of the school and answered our million questions. Who knew that day in October would be so life-changing? The teachers worked extra hard to catch all of our children up academically and showed them such love and patience that they have all soared! When you enroll your children at Grace, you aren't just enrolling them in a great school...your family becomes part of the giant Grace family! I will be forever grateful for Grace Lutheran Christian School!

Why didn't we start our children here in the first place! Because of Covid-19 and the state of the public schools my husband and I needed to find our children a school to attend. Our neighbor recommended Grace Lutheran and what a difference in education they have received. The teachers and staff are very caring. This is also a nonprofit school.

Both of my daughters attend Grace Lutheran Christian School, and aside from all of the socializing and recess they take part in throughout the school day, they are academically ahead! They come home tired, but excited every day from all they got to do that day. Teachers are communicative, helpful, and provide plenty of individualized attention.
