- Historically, schools existed to give students a basic education: math, reading, writing, science, and history. The fine arts were added, as well as extracurriculars like athletics and clubs. In more recent years, high schools developed into college-preparatory institutions.
- But at Evergreen we have known that academics and extracurriculars are not enough. Our students need to grow socially, emotionally, and spiritually, too. They need to be challenged and supported individually, with care and concern for their unique needs and gifts.

I believe the sports offered at Evergreen is pretty good, making it easy for students to play multiple sports. The small number of students makes the atmosphere feel like a family.
