Cunae International School

Incredible school: teachers are amazing, and Anji, the school's principal does an amazing job of bringing one of the best teachers in the area. We have been at Cunae for nine years and can confidently give a 5-star rating. IB program is outstanding, and Cunae maintains it really well. Multiple languages, music, theatre, communications, and public speaking are offered at the school. And most importantly, younger kids spend a lot of time outdoors; they learn by playing and creating. The school also supports diversity, and tolerance, and helps the children become true global citizens.

I have two children in Cunae and both have been in the school for almost a year now. My children have improved significantly in their academics and social life. The teachers are pleasant, highly qualified, and very professional.

The first time we visited Cunae International School looking for a school for our kids to begin Pre-K, we knew immediately it was the school for us! The setting and physical facilities are peaceful and relaxed; the administrative staff and teachers are amazing, dedicated professionals; and the diversity of students and teachers provides for great experiences with other nationalities and cultures. All of the teachers are truly caring individuals, totally dedicated to the student's education, development, and well-being. The teaching approach at Cunae is designed for the children to learn to think and enjoy learning, not just memorize. Because the school is small, the class sizes are optimum for teacher-to-student interaction, fostering individual, as well as group, learning experiences and creativity. Cunae has been an amazing experience for our kids. They love their teachers, their schoolmates, and their classroom settings. They love to go to school, often on the weekends or holidays asking when they can go back to school. We`re not even thinking about any other school for our kids, and highly recommend Cunae to any family looking for a quality school for their children.

Cunae is a wonderful school where children are nurtured as well as being well educated in the IB system. The school is located in the forest - and the children can play freely in green space multiple times a day. The class sizes are small and each child gets plenty of individual attention. All of the teachers we have worked with have been excellent - both in terms of the teaching and care of our children - and also in their communication and team-working with us as parents. The school follows the IB program, which allows children to go deep on projects, explore their interests, and learn to question and think deeply. There is a lovely parent community with opportunities to get involved in field trips and class talks. All our children are very happy and thriving at Cunae - and we highly recommend it.

My children started at Cunae when the youngest was in Pre-K and the eldest in Kindergarten, and I *cannot* say enough about this school. My husband and I had been searching for a school that recognized the importance not only of academics, but of outdoor playtime and creativity as well. To say that both of my kids have thrived at Cunae would be an understatement. From the very beginning the teachers monitored their social interactions carefully, making sure that while they were learning, they were also adapting to their new environment/peers.The teachers were also great at engaging the students. As a former teacher, I was impressed by the curriculum. Pre-pandemic, my kids were always coming home with new information to share about French, or Spanish, or science (plus they were always bringing home a ton of art). The small class sizes and the way they've handled online learning during the pandemic should be held up as an example to all schools. Highly highly recommended.

Cunae is an exceptional school. The teachers and management team go above and beyond to provide a nurturing environment and an enriching and engaging (IB) curriculum. The school is set in beautiful forest and priority is placed on outdoor play and discovery - alongside thorough and well-rounded education. There is a lovely school community of supportive and friendly families. We could not be happier with this school. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the school's response has been amazing. Within days, the team put the school online with a combination of online classes, allowing the kids to see their teacher and classmates every day, and a program of interesting content/activities to work through independently. The support from the staff (during an intensely stressful and busy time for them) has been incredible. Thank you so much, Cunae.

If you idealize for your child a school with excellent teachers, extremely low teacher-student ratios, a strong sense of community, a supportive administration and a focus on environmental issues and global awareness then Cunae would be a great school for your family. It was for ours!

Cunae is a school that not only educates students in all subjects but also teaches life lessons. It prepares the kids for the future by helping them figure out their strengths and capabilities. Each class incorporates independent thinking, discussing, creating and learning. The teachers are all top notch with years of experience. We are thrilled that we found Cunae!
