School Notes

  • A Christian classical education provides a unique and time-tested approach to teaching and learning that has produced some of the most influential Christian leaders in the history of the church. It is our desire that Covenant Classical School (CCS) trains students to become mature, wise, and eloquent Christian leaders in our own generation. Our goal is to equip them with the tools to engage the world for the cause of Christ and to articulate the Christian message persuasively, with clarity, conviction, integrity, and humility. We also strive to furnish students with an understanding of how to love their neighbor and serve others for the glory of God. CCS believes that the best way to pursue this noble vision is through a Christian and classical education.

Our family has been a part of the Covenant community for 9 years now. It has been so exciting to watch our kids grow and learn under the amazing faculty and staff at this school. I feel like they are truly being taught to think according to a biblical, Christ-centered worldview and that they are being prepared to really make a difference not only in the future but today! The academics are rigorous, but our kids have excelled as they have risen to the standard of excellence set before them. We can't imagine being anywhere else!

I''ve been a part of Covenant Classical School for nine years--first as a teacher and now as a parent. I''ve been able to watch this precious school grow from it's small beginnings in an old church to the beautiful new campus across town. Through the great changes, the staff and curriculum have remained solid. It is a true classical school and teaches Christ in ALL things. This teaching is modeled in the lives of the teachers, parents, and leadership. The academic rigor is rewarded and well balanced with meaningful relationships and extracurricular activities. We cherish this school and plan to be a part of it for many years to come.

Our daughter is now in her 6th year at CCS and our son is beginning kindergarten this year. We love the Christ centered, classical education they are receiving at Covenant. The academics are very rigorous, and very good. Our children continue to be challenged and pushed to their full potential. Classes are small so everyone gets plenty of teacher time. Art, music, math, reading, science, history, latin...all excellent. As a Trinity Valley Alumnus, I can say that the academics are as good or better than that top rated school. Athletics are in a growth phase, but mostly that is due to the small upper school enrollment and small pool to choose from. They have an excellent new AD who is committed to growing the program proportionately. The school leadership is committed to seeing the school excel in all areas. Last but not least, tuition makes it the best bang for for your buck in town. If you are considering private schools, CCS should be at the top of your list.

Covenant is an amazing school teaching children of all ages to love learning through the process of classical education. The staff and teachers are loving and attentive to the smallest of details. The quality and level of education found here is unparalleled. Through public recitations, latin education, and great books the children are given a superior education preparing them not only for the most elite of colleges but for life itself.

Covenant Classical is a pace setter academically and in teaching the student to think (stirring and not stuffing). The education, curriculum, classroom, and extra-curricular are founded on a Biblical foundation. The faculty, school leaders, staff and board are masters in their respective fields, all believers of Jesus Christ. All graduates go on to undergraduate campuses. Our ACT scores exceed DOUBLE the Texas state scores. The family is involved in education together. The students grow in self-confidence each year. Praise God for this school.

I have a 4th grader and 2nd grader. Both children have been attending since kindergarten. This school is about excellence in education and being intentional about teaching the truths of the Bible. The principal, Eric Cook, is dynamic. He is engaged with parents and approachable to students. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about our school. I would just encourage anyone interested in CCS to come and see for yourself. Come and see how amazing the faculty and staff really are! Check out the kids participating in class. Most importantly, Christ really is in every aspect of this school. The teachers and administrators are living out their faith in the classrooms and sharing the love of Christ with the students. I love this school, my kids love this school. My family is so excited to be a part of this growing community. Exciting things are happening at CCS! Come be a part of it!
