We started as summer campers and our child LOVED the activities and the fun and friendly counselors. As lower school parents, we appreciate that the staff is as outgoing and energetic as our uber-friendly child. You immediately get a sense that they truly value "community." We have had outstanding lead teachers for two years who have gotten to know our children and bolstered their growth both academically and socially/emotionally. The school's commitment to diversity and inclusion is evident and was a key factor in our decision. We love and have also taken advantage of the extracurriculars offered like taekwondo, archery, dance, innovation, and special interest groups.

My daughter is in Preschool 3(Blue). Couldn't have made a better decision. Was thinking to only stay for preschool from a monetary standpoint, but money well worth it and we intend to stay for as long as we can afford it.

It is an outstanding fit for our daughter. It's a quick hop over the bridge so while we live in MD and the School is in VA, the transportation is actually really easy. We've been at Browne for 5 years and continue to be impressed by the faculty and staff. School leadership continues to improve it even more year by year. We recommend!

My child is in their third year at Browne, and is one of the best decisions we have ever made. It is a gorgeous campus, made even more beautiful by its culture of kindness. My entire family was embraced from day one (also literally, with a giant hug from Preschool 3 Teacher Janet Gomez.) I am eternally grateful for the stellar teachers who educate these small minds with their whole heart and soul. You could not find a higher caliber team of teachers, always passionate and effective. They are talented, tireless, and engaging. My daughter has developed as much socially and emotionally as academically. The curriculum is challenging, and I especially appreciate the character development. I've found the teachers to lead by example, and emphasize kindness, respect, and empathy. Life skills such as conflict resolution, personal responsibility, and creative problem solving are part of the daily life at Browne. You'll find yourself falling in love with the bright students there, and the awesome community of parents. The community is both diverse and involved, and reflects the best of the DMV area. While no school is perfect, the heads of school are always available for all feedback, questions and input. Browne Academy is a magical place for my family, and will forevermore be the place my daughter fell in love with learning.

Our daughter, a four-year-old in Junior Kindergarten at Browne Academy said to us the other day "Mom and Dad, I Love, LOVE school". This is the true value of Browne Academy The Browne Academy learning process is a collaborative experience between our daughter and her teachers. Our initial hesitation was the challenging curriculum-would it be too intense for our daughter? However, we have observed that the small class size; talented and gifted teachers, creative and hands-on learning collectively provides a natural and fun learning environment. We are truly thrilled that our daughter LOVES SCHOOL!!!

We have been a Browne Academy family for the last seven years. We love the community and the small class sizes. The faculty and staff are nurturing and caring and get to know each student's individual needs, strengths and weaknesses, so that they can always teach and support with the child's best interests and development at heart. My child is comfortable trying new activities at school, including various performance arts groups, sports teams, and enrichment classes. The community is genuinely caring and naturally diverse in many aspects. The leadership team of the school and individual divisions is always approachable and responsive, and is enthusiastic and progressive in enhancing the curriculum and academic approach as well as overall resources for the students. I feel that my child is receiving an excellent education in a wonderful environment, but more importantly, growing into a well-rounded person based on the school's core values.

Two years ago, when I was searching for the best Private School in the Alexandria area, I went to various Open Houses to see which school would be good for my child. I was so impressed with the Browne Academy and chose this school as my first choice. Browne Academy is not just the best school of my choice, but I realized that this wonderful school is family oriented. It's a welcoming environment where all the Staff, Faculty and Parents all come together as one big family. The warm atmosphere and the dedication of teachers who strive to make sure each child succeed in their academic achievement, makes me feel I made the right decision for my daughter, and this is where we belong that is why I brought my younger daughter also who is starting the 5th grade this September. Her older sister is starting 8th grade and her experiences with Browne Academy has been marvelous. She's been playing the flute with the school's band and apart from various performances, they have performed twice at Kings Dominion. Her grades are high, thanks to the dedicated teachers who take their time to teach and make sure every student succeed. She loves learning French and comes home to teach us what she's been learning from her French class. I love to join the PTA because it is so much fun for parents and teachers to come together and organize fun-filled activities for everyone to enjoy. My favorite ones are the Family Fun Festival, Pasta Dinner, Teachers' Appreciation Day etc. I love Browne Academy because they give parents time off to rest and enjoy a peaceful atmosphere when the children are off to their Outdoor Learning curriculum. Two grades 5th and 6th were the first to go to this Mountain Camp for 3 days and 7th & 8th-grade students follow them also for their 3 days at the Camp.THANK YOU BROWNE ACADEMY FOR BEING THE BEST PRIVATE SCHOOL ANYONE CAN ASK FOR

We moved to Browne this year for 3rd and 5th grade. We have been very pleased with the school- we have been particularly pleased with the numerous opportunities in the upper school for individual development- including sports teams, music programs such a string ensemble, community art programs, environmental programs and digital photography. We love the small academic classes (the 5th grade has 18 students but they break into groups of 9 for each subject class (and the 9 changes from subject to subject)) and the beginning of a middle school routine in 5th grade (i.e., changing classes for each subject). Students learn executive management and time management skills, are I have seen a marked increase in my son's maturity level. We've also been pleased with the lower school program, and appreciate the variety of experiences the school provides for our children every day; our children look forward to going to school; they absolutely love being at Browne Academy. We like the hot lunch program and we really like the people at Browne. We find the majority of people to be very kind and accepting of others. Like every school, there are small things we might like to see change (dedicated library time for older students), but overall we could not be happier.
