Yorkshire Academy is a beautiful place for children to learn. The teachers are masters at challenging the children academically while supporting them in whatever way the student needs. We have three girls who have blossomed here.

Yorkshire Academy is by far the best school we have experienced, not only from a parent point of view but also our kids as well. Our girls love Yorkshire. The staff and faculty are amazing. The school provides a challenging curriculum to ensure the kids are more than ready for their next stage of their education. In addition, the school does an amazing job establishing an environment that is not only conducive to learning but promotes social growth as well.

I would highly recommend Yorkshire Academy to anyone looking for an elementary school that emphasizes smaller classes coupled with a rigorous curriculum. Yorkshire Academy promotes an environment where students feel equally cared for and challenged to be their best. Students are supported as they grow socially and are given skills to deal with their social and emotional needs, as well as fostering a rich education that will serve them beyond the walls of Yorkshire.

My girls love going to school! We are greeted by the wonderful staff at the carpool with smiling faces both at drop off and pick up. They also share antidotes or interactions they have with their little ones each day. From my first tour five years ago to the present day, I knew my granddaughters were in "good hands". Yorkshire Academy is a place of learning that embraces students as well as their families. Staff members provide a warm, nurturing environment that allows its students to learn, explore, and grow. Students are taught rigorous academic content, as well as a variety of enrichment courses that stretch their minds by exposure. On campus, you don`t turn a corner without seeing smiling students that develop a love for learning. I cannot imagine a better place for my granddaughters to prosper!

My son has been going to Yorkshire Academy for 4 years. Words cannot express my gratitude for this school from teachers to curriculum to sports. It`s so rewarding to watch the transformation in his character both in academic and psychosocial abilities. Yorkshire is unique in that it emphasizes children`s creativity, motivation, and intellectual growth. I have not seen a school out there that offers enrichment classes on emotional intelligence as early as first and 2nd grade. After those classes, my son showed a noticeable change in his ability to regulate his emotions, and his sense of composure and overall demeanor has completely transformed because of these enrichment classes. Academically, the curriculum is rigorous but not monotonous. Teachers do not overwhelm students with boring lengthy homework, and I believe this is the key to maintaining the kid's motivation. This school is worth the tuition and more.

Yorkshire is a gem! Truly one of a kind. We moved our daughters here after attending another private memorial school and they have just blossomed. Both our girls are challenged and come out every day with smiles. The teachers support them and go above and beyond to help them. We love Yorkshire and feel so blessed to have found this very special school.

Yorkshire Academy has been the most amazing place for our daughter in helping her to build the foundations of a well-rounded little person with a balanced focus on social, emotional, and academic skills. Our daughter has been at Yorkshire Academy from Pre-School through to 1st Grade and for a very brief period on 2nd Grade, which we have had to cut short due to relocation overseas. We are so sad to leave the Yorkshire Academy family and its amazing teaching and administrative staff. We love the small class sizes which allow teaching staff to create and nurture truly special relationships with the students and make each and every student feel like they really belong. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this first-class school to any prospective family. We will miss Yorkshire Academy terribly. Thank you!!

Our son is currently enrolled in the cottage program. Being his first year of school, we felt it was important to send him to a school that not only focuses strongly on education but one that fosters a nurturing environment. My partner attended Yorkshire for many years and enjoyed his time there so naturally, we were interested in sending our son. As we took our time considering our options, we felt connected to Yorkshire for its inclusivity, diversity, and positivity. We have seen our son grow leaps and bounds during his first year and we happily enrolled him for a second year. His teachers have been considerate of his needs and are quick to communicate with both parents. I recommend Yorkshire 100%.

My daughter attended Yorkshire Academy for three years, from 3rd grade to 5th. This school was the best move we made for our daughter. She fitted in as though she'd always been there; we were impressed with the level of academics, outdoor time, performing arts opportunities and learning about ocean health in class (the school is an ocean guardian school). An hour of PE each day outside is a great bonus, as is the fact the children eat outside together every day. The teachers at Yorkshire go beyond their work days to bring the world into the classroom, all the staff at Yorkshire are amazing people - I would highly recommend Yorkshire Academy to anyone looking for a great family feel all-rounder school.

Both my kids are at Yorkshire and it is the perfect school for them because of the low teacher to student ratio, small total class size and strength & encouragement in the academic, music and arts. My children have loved being at Yorkshire and we are extremely grateful for the opportunity for balanced growth YA provides. The teachers are AMAZING and truly care about the students. Its Cottage class teachers are the best for 2-4 years old. I`ve also found the families warm and friendly and a great mix and diversity amongst the students.Such a unique school to be able to see at the Memorial Area!

We moved from Italy and my two kids entered YA when the year was already started. They entered in Y2 and Y4. I could have not imagined a better welcome for them. They felt part of this wonderful community from the first day. Each one at the school knew of their arrival, and this made my kids feel so special and helped them adjust to the change. I could not be happier with the decision we made of having my kids attend YA. The sense on community that you feel there is something special and unique. And this is added to an impressive curriculum that challenges the kids not only in learning different topics but in becoming great students in their future. This could not be possible without the best group of teachers and an incredible staff. You really can see that they are truly committed in what they are doing, and this makes their role fundamental and really exceptional. I would highly recommend this school!

We have a 4 year old in pre K and we have opted for virtual learning for the first grading period of this term. I just want to say that I have been totally blown away by the execution of the curriculum for virtual learners. Not only is there 1-2-1 meetings with his teacher (Mrs Waterfield- who we adore!!) but there are plenty of activities and tasks to do with him. It has filled up our day and given us the structure we were missing! My 2 year old gets involved and 'learns' with my older child. We get daily morning meetings, live classes (that are recorded in case we miss it) and get all the supplies we will need to do all the activities including work sheets, stationary, items for science experiments and maths. The Yorkshire Academy staff (admin and teachers) have always treated us and our son with love and kindness but seeing them smash this virtual learning has totally exceeded our expectations. I had no idea how the teachers could possibly keep a 4 year old engaged virtually! We definitely look forward to when he can comfortably join his friends but in the mean time this has been perfect for our family! We are so blessed to be a part of the YA family.

Both of my boys were at Yorkshire Academy, and my oldest just graduated. I cannot recommend this school more highly. We've been exceedingly happy with the quality of academics, student life, and community YA offers. I strongly recommend this school.

Our family moved to Houston from overseas. We were looking for a challenging academic curriculum coupled with a school that would focus on social, emotional and leadership skills. We found all of that and more at Yorkshire. Our children were challenged academically and also gained tremendous growth in their character. The music and arts curriculum is unmatched. But most importantly, your children will know that they are supported by every teacher and administrator at the school. Due to an international career, our time at Yorkshire was limited but will never be forgotten.

Yorkshire Academy is simply the best elementary school in the whole wide world! My three kids were fortunate to go to YA 1st-5th grades and they graduated YA ready to accomplish anything having strong study, performance and life skills as well as strong respect to all people including themselves. Great academics, best caring teachers, safe, beautiful environment. Only good things to say!

My daughter has been enrolled at Yorkshire for the last four years. Yorkshire has wonderful academic programs, a remarkable staff and is a great school. They go above and beyond to know each child and parent. The opportunities are endless for children to explore music, the arts and so much more at this school. We consider Yorkshire part of our family!

My experience as a mother of two children who stayed at YA for three years has been wonderful. My children arrived without speaking English and now they are bilingual, achieving the same success as their native speakers. And all thanks to this extraordinary school, full of wonderful human beings.Respect for ethnic and cultural diversity is impressive. We will love YA forever.

My two children have attended Yorkshire for three years and we've all had amazing experiences because of it. The class sizes are small, (everybody really does get to know everybody), the academics are challenging and thorough and the enrichment experiences through music and art are absolutely second to none. We are now relocating to the U.K. and my children leave Yorkshire with increased confidence and a great desire to learn. I wish we could take this school with us!

We were blessed to have had our 3 children attend Yorkshire during our 4 year stint in Houston. Having experienced the full gamut from cottage through 5th grade, we can confidently say that Yorkshire was the best decision we made during our time in Houston. We have witnessed tremendous growth in confidence, academics and stature in our children. The teachers and staff are friendly and dedicated towards nurturing and educating the children. Being a close knit community in Yorkshire, we are constantly kept in the loop during our children`s educational journey and even established friendships among the staff and fellow parents. The children looked forward to going to school and pick up time in the car would always invariably be a competition to regale us with tales of the day`s happenings.Truly a school we loved and would go back in a heartbeat should we return to Houston!

Due to my sisters treatment in Houston, during 2016 we moved her kids from Dubai to this city to keep the family together. Patrick, my 5 year old, was accepted at Yorkshire Academy. Already from the day of the interviews we fell in love with the school and the community. From the day he got admitted, Yorkshire felt like home. Considering the circumstances we were in, in terms of my sisters progressive deterioration, not only did Yorkshire made his entrance easy, but they joined us all along the way, until my sisters passing. Now Patrick is back in Dubai because of his dad's work. It is not only about academic performance, infrastructure, its more than that to us and Yorkshire is family now. We as a family strongly recommend Yorkshire for anyone who wishes their kids to grow and be educated in a professional but warm, loving environment. The tie with them will hold, as this school showed generosity, empathy and the highest standards in terms of education.

My 2 daughters graduated from Yorkshire Academy over 7 years ago, but we still return for special events and to visit the teachers and staff. Our experience at YA, was beyond exceptional. The ration of child to teacher truly lead to an excellent learning experience. . The music programs and other educational events were outstanding. I have recommended YA to many parents of pre K through 5th grade age. I accredit my daughters'' success in High School and college to the fantastic foundation of learning at YA

We have 4 children who attended YA for the past 3 years. This school has great class sizes and the teachers were amazing with all 4 of our children whilst we were there. They went out of their way to help one of our children in particular. We cannot fault the school and would not hesitate to recommend it to anybody.

Our two children have attended Yorkshire Academy for the last four years. We were looking for an education that would enable our children to transition in to the British education system seamlessly at some stage in the future. The depth and variety of Yorkshire Academy's curriculum means our kids are now well placed to return to the British, or any international system at any stage. The student:teacher ratio has allowed for a great deal of focused attention when required and our boys have clearly benefited from that experience. The teachers through the years have always worked closely with both the children and parents to ensure the children are sufficiently challenged and gratified in their achievements. Both children now display a degree of confidence at such a young age that only the US education system seems to be able to offer. A major benefit of such a small school is that all the children, no matter the age, seemed to know each other, making for a very welcoming and comfortable environment. With both parents working, it was nice to know that additional support was easily available both before and after core hours. Our kids will be sad to leave Yorkshire Academy now we're leaving Houston, but are clearly very well placed for their experience, seeing each move as an adventure.

We were fortunate enough to be a part of the Yorkshire Academy family for 3.5 years while we lived in Houston. We had moved there from Canada, where I had been teaching for 10 years, and so when looking for a school I was looking both as a parent and an educator. I could not have asked for a better beginning to my kids academic career than Yorkshire. The entire faculty truly love their jobs, the school, each other, and most importantly the students. I have worked in many schools and have never seen a more positive school environment than YA. The curriculum is innovative and top notch, the building and amenities are constantly being improved upon, the after school opportunities are varied and of very high quality. Respect, tolerance and love of each other is constantly enforced in the student body and I truly couldn't have asked for a nicer group of kids for my kids to call their friends. When we decided to return to Canada, leaving Yorkshire Academy was by far the hardest thing for us to leave. Again, looking at the school both as a parent and as an educator, I can't say enough good things about Yorkshire and I am so grateful we were fortunate to have the years there we did.

As and educator, I had my bar set pretty high, when searching for a Preschool for my daughter. Yorkshire was highly recommended to me by a friend. I can honestly say, my bar has been met, and SURPASSED! We LOVE Yorkshire Academy! My daughter is in the Preschool class, and everything has been wonderful. The quality of the staff, the depth and variety of activities offered, and the knowledge my daughter has gained at Yorkshire, can only be described as exceptional. We truly feel that we've become part of the Yorkshire family. My daughter is already registered for the Pre-K class in the fall; and my 2 year old son will start the Cottage Program as well!! Thank you Yorkshire!!

We were fortunate enough to be part of the Yorkshire Acaddmy family for 8 years. We moved to Texas from the UK and both our children attended the school from 18months old. We were so sad to leave, the school is so nurturing and everyone knows everyone. It is so friendly and the kids learnt and did so much. It is very well rounded, academically and also arts and music, which is why we loved the school so much. I can't say enough good things, we were so sad to leave and would totally recommend the school to anyone!

Our family is so happy we found this school and we were lucky to get in. Our daughter absolutely loves it. She has learned so much and met many friends. The staff is amazing, all the teachers are very sweet and caring. Lots of afternoon classes for all ages that are very convenient. As a working couple we really appreciate that the school provides care after regular hours.

Yorkshire is a great school with excellent social and emotional student growth; and a school-wide climate of high expectations. It has been a wonderful experience for our family and we could not be more pleased with Yorkshire.
