Located on 19 acres at the base of the Wasatch mountains, The Heritage Community has been a nonprofit leaders of residential care for teenagers ages 12-18 since 1984. Special Education schools enable students to focus and succeed academically while working with masters-level therapists to overcome or cope with mental health, behavioral health and neurological challenges. The Elevate Academy is for student suffering from depression or other mood disorders, anxiety or attachment struggles, or who have had traumatic experiences. Elevate's goal is to first engage students in relationships and an active and holistic life, and the second goal is to Empower them to learn skills and implement plans for a bright future.
The Spark Academy leads the nation in neurodiverse and Autism spectrum treatment. Utilizing an attunement-regulation-competency model, Spark first addresses the trauma of living a neurodiverse life which better equips students for the specia skills for a happy, productive future.

- For over 30 years parents and professionals have turned to Heritage to help them find the son or daughter they once knew. With years of experience and unmatched staff experience and tenure Heritage is a special place where lives are changed on a daily basis.
- Two full gender-specific, year-round schools with six class periods and a rotating schedule enable students to catch up on deficient credits and prepare to transition home. Special ed teachers assist students with learning challenges. Small classroom sizes provide for more individualized attention for our students.
- Two dedicated academies targeted on specific diagnosis make it possible for students to overcome challenges they and their families never thought possible. Fulltime therapists provide individual, group and family therapy on a weekly basis. A team of eight residential staff dedicated to each gender, diagnostic and age specific home of 10-14 students build powerful relationships with students. These relationships create an atmosphere where students are comfortable expressing their feelings and emotions.
- We help students find their spark with the greatest variety of on-campus activities like drama/theater, equine, athletics, rock climbing, yoga etc. Our proximity to outdoor recreation provides students with world-class experiences such as mountain biking, hiking, camping, rappelling and more.
- Over time students and family dynamics change for the better. Relationships are healed, coping skills are developed, weaknesses are strengthened and students are prepared for a healthy and productive life.

when I got here a year and 7 months ago I hated this place. later through my stay, I found out that it was helping and now I'm leaving on august 12 and I have improved so much thanks to the staff and kids here I recommend any parent who sends their kid here that it will be worth it. I never thought I could make it and I did and that's huge.

Was the only place that I felt like the staff genuinely cared and because of the way my home life was I got the help I needed to get my education and without this awesome place Im not sure I would have graduated high school. I am forever grateful for the time I was there, I am now trying to seek out a career there if they will allow me to. Best mentors and the place that I called home for my late adolescent years.
