We have been at The Habersham School for 4 years, currently in middle school, and we absolutely love it. Our family has had many experiences with other private and public schools in the area, and this school has been the best fit for our family. Don't be discouraged by the few negative reviews on here because there has been a change in the staff and leadership of this school. We are just an average family with a desire to have our children be pointed to Christ and taught how to thrive in a world with a different worldview than that of the Bible. Academically it is on parr with the competing schools without being a burden of homework and stress. Please go check it out, especially for those awkward middle school years where your child needs friends in Christ to run the race together with.

Both of my children attend Habersham's lower/middle school (will be entering 2nd and 6th next year). We moved here from WA two years ago and have loved the Classical Christian education and the open arms of the teachers and other students/parents we now call family. Academically I'd say it is rigorous but not elitist; there is not an overbearing focus on grades as much as there is a focus on the habits of thought and action. Math in the lower grades is Singapore Math, which focuses on depth in fewer topics. This is known for its impressive Latin program (MANY gold medals and higher distinctions in the National Latin Exam) but based on my kids' ages, my current favorite academic feature is the focus on literature and memorization/recitation. I also appreciate the opportunities for exploration of sports and arts-lower students get to choose to do PE or Ballet and strings or choir during the school day. I think my kids like it mostly because of the culture. One example is their house system where lower and upper school students mix into Houses for service projects, creative theatrical and sports competitions- and compete for a house cup, awarded at the end of the year.

We love The Habersham School! They educate the whole child, their character and habits while providing an education that points everything back to God and His creation. Classical Education includes lots of reading, narration and Latin! It teaches them how to think and gives them confidence to question and explore. I love that the end goal is mastery not memorization. I highly recommend this school because it's God honoring and Jesus seeking in all areas including the many athletics and visual arts programs. We are blessed with fantastic coaches, teachers and staff that really care about each student! When our child shadowed here, he described it "like a family." I truly wish I could go back to school and be educated this way and often read right along with my 4th and 6th grader.

Upon stepping into any Habersham classroom, you'll find an atmosphere of joy in learning and discovery. Faculty and staff build personal relationships with their students, shaping the whole person to grow into who God created them to be. Students are taught to fall in love with the learning process. The faculty weave together subjects to draw their students' hearts and minds into the unified tapestry of God's design and how it relates to them. The focus is on partnering with parents to shape who our children are becoming, holistically and Biblically. It's unique, challenging, wonderfully messy, and an absolute privilege to be a part of.

We love The Habersham School! Our children are preschool age and they are learning Bible stories, math, listening to great composers, being exposed to great works of art, and most importantly having their character shaped by God-fearing men and women. Truly the best education happens when teachers teach to the person versus the product. We are so thankful our family is a part of this unique school!

What a great experience over the last 6+ years!!! Where to start... First, the teachers and leadership- kind, loving, compassionate, dedicated, and motivated. They are all focused on the same end state: a faith first, God driven manifestation of knowledge, values, and attitudes. The curriculum- challenging yet obtainable: students are aware of what is expected and given just the right amount of "hands on attention" without interfering with self awareness and self motivation. Last but not least are the students themselves: what a great bunch of kids. Loving, caring, and attentive. The house system fosters a sense of ownership and pride. Student leaders organize and facilitate many of the school events and they incorporate the entirety of the student body in to the end results. We could go on and on. Truly blessed to have our child enrolled at The Habersham School.

This school has been a blessing to our family. The Classical Curriculum is rigorous and inspires my sophomore to think outside of the box. The students are taught to think critically and to articulate their thoughts in meaningful dialogues. I am constantly amazed at the things they are discussing in the high school setting. Moreover, my daughter has had opportunities to play violin, sing in a choir, perform on stage and to play tennis, all while being guided by teachers and coaches who challenge her to do her best and to be herself!

I highly recommend this school for parents that seek a good Christian based education. There is no stress of benchmark scores giving the child the comfort to learn, explore and grow as an individual. The entire staff embraces your child and the parents' desire to help their children to discover their talents and flourish on that while gaining an excellent education. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This is an excellent school that teaches students how to observe, think and formulate thoughts and then how to communicate those observations and thoughts to the world around them. The academics are rigorous but fair and are taught by faculty who care about their students and are committed to Christ. The athletics are competitive and led by coaches who strive for excellence and believe in developing body, mind and soul. I highly recommend this school!

We love The Habersham School! The teachers treat students with dignity and understanding in moments of celebration and moments of correction. The House System makes everyone PK 3-12th grade feel like a real family. The teachers and coaches challenge each student in ways that bring out their God-given skills and talents while creating meaningful relational experiences where students can grow both individually and together.

This school is very special. You must spend the day on campus to understand why. The classical education is what is missing in our schools today. I highly recommend this it and they have a campus in Rincon and downtown Savannah.
