  • The TEC Education Center and Community-Based Vocational Instructional Program (CBVI) provide relevant and authentic transition-based learning experiences to high school students with disabilities. The program`s primary purpose is to provide vocational and educational opportunities for students to gain the necessary work skills that will give them the ability, as well as the self-confidence, to become productive and contributing members of the community. TEC`s School to Work Transition Program serves participating Washington County School districts.
  • TEC Education Center: TEC Education Center is licensed and regulated by the PA Department of Education, as a Private Academic School, which provides a unique programming option for a specialized group of students with disabilities. Students complete academic, vocational, transition, workplace readiness, self-advocacy skills, and social skills lessons to strengthen their ability to meet goals. Activities include completing job applications, writing resumes, participating in mock interviews, learning tools for success, and how to maintain employment. Students learn transition/work skills through volunteering at local non-profits and giving back to Washington County.
  • Community Vocational Instructional Program (CBVI):TEC`s Community Vocational Instructional Program (CBVI) provides a variety of work experiences for students in the community at various local agencies and businesses. Students are placed in a variety of community-based volunteer sites and local businesses to learn and apply their work-related skills. The students are all supported and monitored by a Job Coach. The benefits for the students include positive interactions with peers, co-workers, and employers, individual and team skill-building opportunities, and the experience of gaining work skills in real-world work settings.
