School Notes

  • Suburban School embodies a relaxed, comfortable learning atmosphere emphasizing our outdoor environment to enhance gross motor development. We believe a happy and successful childhood with clear expectations leads to a positive self-image. Our nature-based program is designed to be age-level appropriate, blending traditional and progressive learning styles. The school's property spans six acres to accommodate our 5 buildings, swimming pool, garden, and variety of playgrounds. We use hands-on experiences and learning centers to encourage creativity and a better understanding of concepts. Children are always encouraged to engage with the environment around them and we foster their curiosity with the living creatures (i.e. bugs, deer, snails, lizards, etc.) on our campus. All children also contribute to our gardening area where we plant fruit, vegetables, and flowers.Time is spent learning in a group setting as well as one-to-one with a teacher.
  • Suburban School exceeds State Minimum Standards, follows national accreditation (NECPA and NAEYC) guidelines, and upholds Texas Rising Star guidelines.
