I cannot say enough good things about St. Thomas, the staff, the administration, the parents, and the caring students. Two of our three children transferred into this school from public. What we have found is truly an affordable private school in Fairfield, that focuses on academic excellence, building character, and spreading kindness. The new administration has brought in some wonderful teachers to complement the already stellar experienced teachers. The commitment to the growth of the complete child is evident throughout the interactions of the staff at all levels. The social pressures of our children are immense these days. The fabric of St. Thomas woven with kindness initiatives, parental involvement, academic excellence, and character building contribute to children thriving in this environment. My three are thrilled to go to this school and come home happy each day. The teachers are committed to teaching the individual child by identifying each one's strengths. The new principle has brought new initiatives to strengthen the school's already strong programs in both language arts and mathematics. Our third child started in Kindergarten and continues to thrive. We have found the depth and breadth of the curriculum to be stronger than what we experienced at public. I have recommended the school to others who have transferred from public. Our collective experiences are that the social pressures are much less, the academics are more rich and focused than our personal experiences, and that our children are thriving in the caring, character building, environment.

We are so happy that we chose St. Thomas for our three children. We have been there for over 7 years and even though our children are only "half" Catholic, we wouldn't have wanted them to be anywhere else. It`s a great school and a loving, caring environment. It feels like family!! My children feel safe and happy everyday. The school evolves every year and in my opinion, it just keeps getting better. So many new ideas, programs, people and opportunities for my children to experience. We love it at STA. And by the way, it was voted the kindest school in America - and it shows in the way the children treat one another. It also shows in our greater Fairfield community. I can't tell you how many times people have said to me "Those St. Thomas kids are so kind and respectful and smart".

St. Thomas was the best choice we could have made for our daughter. The school has a supportive culture and great community of involved parents. We love being invited regularly to the classroom for activities. Teachers are so dedicated and talented! My daughter loves wearing the school uniform (makes mornings so much easier for me too)--her her words--she feels like she "belongs". After school program called "beyond the bell" is amazing--so many offerings--sports, clubs, dance, music, drama etc. Emphasis on Catholic values--living the faith through practice, religious instruction and service projects (for all grades). The school has so many amazing traditions (Christmas boutique, Living Stations of the Cross, Breakfast with Santa to name a few)--we're so lucky to have a school like St. Thomas in Fairfield.

Hands down the best elementary and middle school in Fairfield. My children all attended and were exceedingly well prepared for high school. The principal inspires, educates and directs. She had a personal relationship with every child in the school and is dedicated to each and every one of them doing their best personally and academically. My husband and I feel that giving our children the gift of attending St Thomas was one of the best gifts we could have ever given our children.

I agree -- Ms Brady is FANTASTIC and incredibly engaged in all aspects of the school. If there is a problem, she gets right on it and solves it. The teachers are fantastic, my child likes them all. They take special interest in her progress (all the students from what I can tell) and offer extra help after school on a regular basis. I do wish there was a music/instrumental component (like orchestra and band instruction) plus more extra curricular however I will take academic excellence over activities any time. Also --- the younger you start at this school, the better as the older kids are harder to mesh with if you are not there from the beginning. We feel that St. Thomas has really motivated our child to strive for good grades.

This school is truly amazing! The principal is strict, but very supportive of her students. The students attend Mass at least twice a month and are fully enriched in their faith. The teachers, such Mrs. Greenfield (7th and 8th grade English) have a solid teaching background and all have a great love for the subject that they are teaching as well as the students that they teach. The kindergarteners are all paired up with an eight grade student who teach them about God and our Catholic faith. The chess team is the best in Fairfield County and three of the four JV/Varsity basketball teams made it to Regionals last year in New Hampshire. The Cross Country team has a GREAT coach as well and the swimming team meets weekly after school where they swim at the Fairfield YMCA. However... I do warn you that the middle school students sometimes receive up to six hours of homework a night. The teachers make sure that the students take their subjects seriously and straight As is not an easy feat. The children are all ready for high school by the time they graduate and many say that high school is half the amount of work that they receive at St. Thomas! Do Send You Children To St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School! It is an Amazing school!
