We love St. Matthias Catholic School! It's an International Baccalaureate (IB) school with exceptionally high testing results and small class sizes. The teachers are incredibly caring and committed to giving students a high-quality education. We have three children attending St. Matthias in 2nd, 1st, and Kindergarten, and we've been part of the school since PreK3. Initially, we had planned to move to the suburbs, but we fell in love with SMS and its warm, welcoming community. Most families live in the neighborhood, making the school feel like an extension of home. We've made close friendships with other parents, and the connection is truly special.Another huge benefit is affordability. At about $9,000 a year, St. Matthias offers excellent value—more affordable than other Catholic and private schools in the area-without compromising quality. They even offer aftercare at an amazing rate, which has been a lifesaver for our family. The diversity at St. Matthias was also a big draw for us. We value diversity deeply, and we're thrilled our children are part of such an inclusive environment. We highly recommend St. Matthias to any family looking for a top-notch education in a diverse, supportive community at an affordable price. It's been a fantastic choice for our family, and we're so grateful to be part of this wonderful school!

From day one, teachers and administrators at St. Matthias have taught our girls the elementary fundamentals in a way that is engaging and provides a broader perspective on the world. They learn about other religions, cultures and countries and why it is important to be a citizen of the world, contribute to your community and be kind. During the pandemic, St. Matthias teachers have gone above and beyond to keep our kids safe and try to re-establish a sense of normalcy that's inline with science. Great teachers, great principal, great students and great community.
