Our son began at St. Joseph when he entered 6th grade. It has been the best decision we ever made; he is thriving with the small class size and the teachers are amazing! St. Joseph instills the timeless values that are missing today, it's simply a diamond in the rough. It provides a strong Catholic foundation. When COVID hit, his teachers/staff transitioned quickly setting up a remote learning experience. It has gone extremely well, and the school has a firm grasp on how to transition into remote learning very quickly! Bullying/Clicks/Vaping are not issues here, it is a safe and welcoming environment. We love the fact that the older students watch over the younger students. The school has: Basketball, Ski and Snowboard Club, Drama club, Chess club, Robotics, Cross Country, Music and Art Program, Speech and Debate team. If you are on the fence about sending your child/children to this school, you will not be disappointed in choosing St. Joseph; they will thoroughly enjoy the experience!

I honestly can't say enough about St. Joseph School in Wakefield. I have sons in 6th grade and 7th grade. The small class sizes allow for individualized attention. This school has some of the most creative, unique, caring teachers that I've ever encountered. The 5th grade teacher does a lot of project based learning that encompasses research, writing, presentations, creating a model (ex. a Mayan temple), and learning culturally relevant songs. The creative writing program is second to none. It is excellent preparation for their rigorous middle school program that will prepare them well for any high quality private or public high school. Our students are known for their comfort in public speaking; they get a lot of practice. The small class sizes also allow the teachers to stay on top of monitoring social media etc. that our middle schoolers may be on. They are positioned well to make sure our kids navigate these waters safely and appropriately. St. Joseph School is a gem!

My son has attended St. Joseph now for four beautiful years. My son has blossomed because of St. Joseph's School. Simply put, my son feels LOVED! This is truly his second family. He is challenged academically in his small class size. The teachers go the extra mile to learn the interests of each student. His faith has grown enormously, in ways that only a Catholic education can provide. There are so many learning opportunities and clubs that all students can participate in. He has received such a special education at St. Joseph. Most of all, he has become such a successful, polite, well-mannered, intelligent and thoughtful young man. I credit so much of these behaviors to what goes on in the classrooms daily at St. Joseph School. I have truly cherished his education at St. Joseph. I am a very happy St. Joseph parent!

We LOVE this school! We have been at the school for 5 years. The faculty and administration care about each student. There is a wonderful community of parents who support one another. The academics are fantastic. My children are challenged and love to go to school each day. There are great after school activities (drama, ski, basketball, track, chess, test kitchen, etc). Students are respectful and kind. The "buddy program" (older and younger students are paired up) is a favorite for all of my children. The Early Childhood Program is amazing, with a ton of full and half day options to meet various family needs. We couldn't be happier!

Wonderful small school with first rate academics & an impressive amount of extra curricular activities ( drama club, track & field, basketball, robotics, band, ski club). The teachers are dedicated and passionate about teaching. The students are kind & respectful. We love it there!

We came to St. Joseph School mid-year, because we met all the wonderful teachers and staff and couldn't wait until the fall! I have a kindergartner and a 4th grader, and they have had a truly joyful experience at St. Joseph School. The community is excellent and welcoming. My students feel loved and academically challenged. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

My son has been at SJS for seven years, since PreK, and we have had a wonderful experience. Excellent academics in a warm, loving and faith-filled environment where students learn to love God, each other and learning. Amazingly gifted teachers who are committed to their calling of creating the next generation of saints and scholars. Administration that really values partnership with parents. A truly engaged and supportive community of families and students. We could not recommend SJS more highly.
