Notes for Prospective Students

All admissions are predicated on successful completion of the 8th grade, and students must meet with the principal, Andrew Stasiw to be considered. SGA utilizes the TACHS testing system for Catholic Schools in NYC for initial consideration. Transcripts are evaluated for grades, tardiness, absenteeism, and conduct. Student cognitive expression and presentation are evaluated during the meeting with the principal. We enroll students of various ethnic backgrounds who are bright, curious, motivated and show strong academic potential. Our curriculum adheres to strict academic guidelines for learning as prescribed by the NY State Department of Education and we are certified by the NY State Board of Regents. St. George Academy (SGA) prepares students to be independent thinkers and productive citizens. Our students gain a strong sense of self and citizenship, and our graduates go on to become leaders in society.
