Notes for Prospective Students
Enrollment Requirements: To enroll at Sprout U,
students are typically required to submit a completed application,
academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, and participate in
an admission interview. Each grade level may have specific
requirements, and prospective students should demonstrate a passion
for both academics and the arts. Academic
Standards: Students are expected to maintain high academic
standards. This includes engaging in rigorous coursework,
participating in Advanced Placement (AP) courses in African
American Studies and World Culture, and demonstrating a commitment
to excellence in their academic pursuits. Involvement
in the Arts: Sprout places a strong emphasis on the arts.
Students are encouraged to participate in the performing arts
programs, Scuba Diving Program, and other artistic endeavors. This
involvement can include participating in choir, dance, visual and
fine arts, and collaborating with resident artists, photographers,
and choreographers. Extracurricular Activities:
Students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular
activities such as athletics through the AAU and taking advantage
of summer camps. These activities promote a well-rounded education
and offer opportunities for personal growth and development.
Community Engagement: Sprout values community
engagement and collaboration. Students may be encouraged to
participate in community projects and affiliations with
institutions like Princeton McCarter Theater, Kelsey Theatre, The
College of New Jersey, Rider University, and more.
Adherence to School Calendar: Students are
expected to adhere to the school calendar, which includes academic
semesters, holidays, and special events. Additionally, they may
participate in special programs or initiatives, such as overnight
camps during the summer. Respect and Conduct:
Students are expected to demonstrate respect for their peers,
teachers, and the school community. Respectful behavior and ethical
conduct are essential values at Sprout U. Academic and
Artistic Growth: Students are encouraged to actively
engage in their academic and artistic growth, seeking out
opportunities to challenge themselves and push their creative
