- Southwest Montessori Academy opened in 2013 with a total of eight students and three staff members. We have grown to our maximum capacity of 40 students and with 7 staff members and have built a community of parents and teachers who are excited about working together to serve our students! We have a passion for helping children reach their full potential and foster their love of learning.Our Primary program is for children ages three to six years old working and learning together in the same classroom. We provide each student a personalized learning experience in an environment that is not only beautiful, but ready for each student to become independent, confident, compassionate and engaged learners. Our teachers are all Montessori-trained from accredited teacher training centers and are passionate about guiding children to be contributing members of our community.We also offer Parent Education courses such as "Parenting the Positive Discipline Way", "Math, the Montessori Way", "Montessori At Home", and many more opportunities for the whole family in order to build a strong family-school partnership in order to best serve the needs of each student.Southwest Montessori Academy`s wants to assist families in gaining a deeper understanding of Montessori education with our streamlined Admissions process. The entire staff at Southwest Montessori Academy creates a safe, educational environment for the children they teach. Before attending, my son cried at most morning drop-offs. After the first week, he was excited to join his class and happy every time at pick up. The independence and academic knowledge he gained are priceless.
