Robert F. Munroe Day School

Robert F. Munroe Day School was incorporated in 1969 and our first classes began in 1970. It was created to serve the private school educational needs of Gadsden County and the surrounding area.
Robert F. Munroe Day School provides its K-12 students with a college preparatory educational experience in a unique and beautiful environment in Gadsden County.
In an era of metal detectors and school resource officers in too many Florida schools, our students are part of a safe and supportive campus community where the teacher/student ratio is 1/9, and teachers are deeply involved in both classroom and extracurricular activities.
RFM offers a well-rounded curriculum, which is based upon strong Language Arts and Reading programs.
Munroe's course offerings provide an excellent background for post-secondary education, including dual-enrollment college and AP courses.
We offer AP and Honors courses in Math, Science, History, and English.
We have a broad-ranging History program with courses spanning ancient civilization through current events.
In addition to academic courses, RFM also offers a Fine Arts curriculum including both Visual Arts and Music.

My children were at a well-known private school in Tallahassee. After hearing from friends how great their children were doing at Munroe, and becoming concerned about the quality of education at our current school, we made the switch last year. What a difference! My children are learning and love school. They had an easy time making friends. The teachers are wonderful and there is a big push to get kids their AA college degree while in high school. The coaches and sports teams are wonderful as well.

We enrolled our child in Munroe after many years in public school. It has made all the difference. He just graduated and we could not be more proud of him and all he accomplished. Thank you Munroe, and to your amazing and caring teachers.

The athletic program at Munroe has changed tremendously over the last 2 years. They seem like they have found a great foundation to build from and continue to grow from within. Kids are more determined than ever to succeed not only on the field but in the classroom. The coaching staff is extremely supportive of the students athletes, not only on the field, but off the field as well as they strive to push them to their full potential.

Munroe is like no other school I've ever experienced. Small classes, so many academic and elective options, sports and more! You can't help but love the environment of the school. Diverse, friendly, family!

I am so pleased with the experiences my child has had at Munroe. This year my child will be entering the 12th grade. Recently I met with the Head of School in a one-on-one parent meeting he has with every senior family. The Head of School works with our family in going through all the options for college an beyond. He cared about my child's future and the dreams we have for him. It was at that moment that I truly realized our child was at a unique place, one in which everyone cares about the family and wants the best for every student.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this school. Their class sizes are small and the teachers are amazing! The students use IPad's and the classrooms all have smart boards. It has a true family feel and they take each students success very personally. Take a tour, you will fall in love!
