School Overview
Overview
The Hunt Ridge Montessori School first opened our doors in september, 1983.
When we welcomed six children to their first day of school.
Today, we are delighted to teach 85 children each day based on the principles set forth by maria montessori.
Maria montessori discovered that young children exhibit sensitive periods or a strong sensitivity to particular exercises and objects during various stages of their development.
This interest produces in the child an immense amount of intellectually directed activity.
The activity brings about the acquisition of that particular knowledge or skill which the child then masters quite easily.
Great Beginings Montessori School serves children 21 months to 9 years old.
Great Beginnings Montessori's mission is developing the potential of the whole child: the spirit, the body and the mind.
Great Beginnings Montessori School is a nurturing environment of educators and families which aims to support, through the prepared Montessori environment, the development of each child's potential through activities that promote independence, physical coordination, emotional growth, social competence, cognitive preparation, academic excellence and spiritual nourishment.
