Overview
STCS is a parochial school supported by St. Theresa Catholic Church.
As a Classical Catholic School, St. Theresa Catholic School is governed by a distinctive academic philosophy calculated and proven to engender success.
At St. Theresa Catholic, we are committed to Classical Catholic education.
Classical educators are particularly concerned to reconnect with that long tradition of liberal education which has been largely forgotten in the innumerable and frequent ideological revolutions that mark the history of modern educational theory.
As Classical educators, we feel that some of the perennial hallmarks of a solid education are missing in the typical American school, and we intend to recover those elements through an educational philosophy calculated for success.
Founded in 1992, St. Laurence Catholic School (SLCS) is one of the largest PreK - 8th grade schools in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
Reflecting the diversity of the surrounding community, SLCS celebrates the many cultures within the school by encouraging students to lead by example and make a positive impact on the world.
SLCS is proud to be a three-time recipient of the National Blue Ribbon award, recognized as a STREAM Synergy School by the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, accredited by the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops Educational Department, and voted a "Best of the Best" finalist by the Houston Chronicle.
