Overview
Saint Philomena School of the Sacred Heart is a Catholic, independent, Sacred Heart school community founded and inspired by the Sisters Faithful Companions of Jesus and sponsored and animated by the Religious of the Sacred Heart to educate the heart, mind, body, and spirit of all God's children. Our school is part of the 25 member schools in the Network of Scared Heart Schools of the United States and Canada.
Each day we welcome 450 students in Preschool through Grade 8.
Our students come from 22 cities and towns in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts.
St. Philomena School of the Sacred Heart's mission is to foster the courage and confidence of children to discover, develop and use their God-given gifts and talents to transform the world for good.
When you walk into The Pennfield School, you see the words "Joy, Understanding, and Respect" over the main entry.
These are the three words that define the School and its philosophy.
While the building is new and sits on 19 breath-taking acres, the School holds true to its traditional roots and its values.
A family-oriented school, Pennfield creates a partnership among all its members.
Children leave Pennfield having acquired a true love of learning and a confidence to excel at the secondary school level.
