St. Johnsbury Academy is a diverse, comprehensive, and independent educational community grounded by our traditions, our deep optimism regarding young people, and our commitment to academic excellence. Our aim is to teach good character by modeling and fostering compassion, respect, responsibility, and integrity; to foster a love for learning by challenging individuals to pursue knowledge, creativity, and intellectual self-reliance; and to encourage each individual to understand his or her relationships, rights, and responsibilities within a community that is itself part of the larger world.
Founded in 1867, Lyndon Institute is dedicated to providing an educational experience for our students that leads to a lifetime of learning and good citizenship. We are a private, co-ed, independent, and comprehensive high school for grades 9-12 offering a 150-course curriculum specializing in core and honors academics, fine and performing arts, and career sciences. Our students participate in hands-on experieintial learning including accredited technical education programs. Our campus is located 10 minutes from a ski resort and the area offers extensive outdoor recreation opportunities.
