Santiam Christian School consists of a preschool (ages 3 - 4), an elementary school (grades K-6), a junior high school (grades 7 & 8) and a senior high school (grades 9 - 12).
Professionally trained Christian teachers at all levels, quality curriculum, and excellent facilities combine to produce a total Christian education package. Santiam Christian School exists to assist Christian families in their responsibility of training their sons and daughters to become faithful disciples of Christ.
Santiam Christian represents a conservative evangelical point of view, both in its teaching and its overall administration.
Santiam Christian is committed to high quality academic education in a distinctive Christian setting.
Our classroom style is a conservative, traditional approach where classroom discipline, modest dress, respect for authority, and a genuine desire to learn are characteristics that can be observed. Beginning at the elementary level we emphasize a program of strong academics.
Reading programs are centered around a phonetic approach. The daily curriculum consists of Bible, Math, language arts, reading, spelling, physical education, science and history.
The traditional education at Zion emphasizes the fundamentals of reading, writing, math and science.
Mid-term and quarterly report cards offer regular feedback to students and parents.
The curriculum is developed to provide continuity from one grade to the next, building on fundamental concepts from year to year.
Zion Lutheran School endeavors to meet the following needs of children: SPIRITUAL, INTELLECTUAL, PHYSICAL, SOCIAL, AND PSYCHOLOGICAL. Christian parents will want their children to be successful in this life and to have eternal bliss in heaven.
