Overview
The Regina Inter-Parish Catholic Education Center is dedicated to providing quality, value-centered Catholic education to the students in our community.
We seek to integrate Catholic doctrine, religious celebration, and Christian service into an academically excellent curriculum.
The Regina Inter-Parish Catholic Education Center in cooperation with parents and parishes strives to provide a value-centered Catholic education rich in both academic excellence and witness of the Gospel message.
We seek to build a school community where learners grow in knowledge, self-esteem, spirituality, respect for others, and a sense of social responsibility.
We believe that by integrating Catholic Doctrine, religious celebration, and Christian service into an academically excellent curriculum, the students will be prepared to relate Christian values to everyday life, serve the total human community, and meet the human needs of our time.
Willowwind School is a joyful learning community where children develop their unique potential through child-led inquiry.
Willowwind offers an independent, progressive elementary school experience with a Montessori based preschool program for children ages 3 through 12.
The school was founded in 1972 by a group of educators and parents to provide an innovative approach to education for the Iowa City community.
We believe that children learn best in an atmosphere that provides security, continuity, and high expectations.
A low student-teacher ratio allows teachers to establish informed, caring relationships with students and to meet the specific educational and social needs of each child.
Teachers build relationships that allow them to understand each child intellectually and temperamentally. This close relationship is ideal for responding effectively to a child's work and encouraging constant growth.
At Willowwind, children find the freedom to make mistakes and the courage to move beyond them to their fullest potential.
