Overview
Nevada Sage Waldorf School! We have been serving the Reno-Tahoe area since the year 2000. Nevada Sage Waldorf School is an independent, non-sectarian school offering an early childhood program and a growing grade school program.
Our school is a community of children, teachers, parents, trustees, families and friends who embrace the joy of learning.
We are dedicated to providing an education that enlivens the whole child with rich experiences.
Daily and weekly rhythms, along with seasonal festivals celebrate and accentuate the passage of time with beauty, meaning and purpose.
We are proud to be among 1,000 Waldorf schools worldwide that are located in 83 countries. While each Waldorf school is unique and operates independently, we are all connected by a core curriculum, and similar methods and beliefs. Waldorf curriculum was developed by Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925) and is based on his studies of the developmental stages of childhood. Waldorf education is the fastest growing private educational movement in the world.
Brookfield School is a co-educational day school serving over 250 students from preschool through eighth grade.
Established in Sacramento in 1962 and expanding to Reno in 1978, we offer a diverse and inclusive environment committed to each child's educational needs.
Our innovative curriculum blends traditional academics with enrichment in art, music, and languages, supported by a low student-to-teacher ratio and a dedicated, highly qualified staff.
We emphasize STEAM subjects-science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics-to ensure academic excellence.
Our enrichment programs include Spanish and Mandarin instruction from 9 months through eighth grade, integrated musical education starting at Pre-First (Kindergarten), and comprehensive art education.
We support public speaking through the Chautauqua program and various in-class activities.
Students can engage in a range of extracurriculars, from Chess Club and Tae Kwon Do to Soccer and Art Club, with extended school care available from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm.
Our community values diversity, fosters strong parent involvement through an active PTA, and maintains a safe, nurturing atmosphere for academic and emotional growth.
