The Montessori School of Sonoma is a private nonprofit organization established in August 1972.
The school is based on Maria Montessori's methods and theories of child development and early learning.
There are four individual programs: Infant, Toddler, Preschool and Childcare.
The school is open to any child 1 to 10 years old.
Our Philosophy: Old Adobe School was founded over thirty years ago and has been dedicated to providing high quality early childhood education to a diverse population ever since.
OAS draws from a variety of early childhood philosophies and current educational research.
We offer a flexible play based curriculum including many different play philosophies ie. Waldorf, reggio, outdoor classroom and montessori

Our Preschool and Prekindergarten programs, though seemingly informal, are skillfully organized so that the children`s activities promote their total physical, cognitive, and social growth.
