Overview
Maimonides Jewish Day School was founded in September 1985 to provide a nurturing and challenging education for children. From that time until today, MJDS has placed children at the center, encouraging each child to flourish through personalized as well as classroom community learning. At Maimonides, our aspiration is to provide a strong foundation upon which every child may build for a lifetime.
Portland Jewish Academy strives to ensure an academically rich environment which honors the whole child.
PJA nurtures and inspires Jewish engagement, kavod/respect, and responsibility for the world in which we live.
Our unique curriculum combines interdisciplinary learning, community involvement, and foreign language acquisition all with a values-based approach.
Students at PJA are encouraged to think critically, independently, and creatively.
