Overview
Academic rigor, individual excellence, and personal integrity are what we seek to instill in our young people.
Students will experience a strong curriculum designed to provide the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful not only in the most challenging of college environments, but also in life.
A variety of extracurricular activities, athletic offerings, and clubs combine to provide opportunities for participation beyond the classroom.
We believe that through personal challenges and experiences, our students will come to realize the benefits of a lifelong love of learning.
Autauga Academy is a co-educational, college preparatory school dedicated to preparing students for success in college and in life.
As the only fully accredited private school in Autauga County, Autauga Academy maintains the high standards of operation imposed by the Alabama Independent School Association (AISA).
Elementary school students' core curriculum emphasizes "the basics" - reading, writing, math, language arts, social studies, science, and physical education.
They also have weekly classes in special subjects such as computer lab, Spanish, library skills, art and music.
All elementary students also participate in the Accelerated Reader Program.
As a college preparatory school, students in grades seven through twelve pursue an academic program designed to help them meet the challenges of higher education.
The core curriculum includes English, math, history, and science. Supplementing the core curriculum are electives in computer, foreign language, journalism and social sciences.
