Overview
First Lutheran School exists as an important part of First Lutheran Church to assist and support parents with the Christian education and training of their children.
Through this Christian congregation, the Lord has divinely called our schools teachers to assist parents with the Christian training of their children.
We teach the Scriptural truth that all people are born sinful and therefore deserve eternal damnation.
Our Christian education then brings to the children the joyful message that God sent His Son Jesus to suffer and die for their sins.
By Jesus death and resurrection all people have been redeemed from sin.
Through faith in Christ, all can receive full and free salvation.
Not only are these Bible truths taught in devotions and religion classes, but they are brought out in all subject areas of the curriculum.
Mt. Zion Christian School's mission is to develop Christian character and academic excellence in your child.
Every learning experience aims to engage students toward their full potential in Christ.
The school's day-to-day operational practices are a consistent model of integrity, efficiency, and accountability. Biblical values are consistently implemented.
Scripture is the revealed Word of God and is taught as truth, and that truth is integrated into the learning experience.
The Christian mind should be the best mind, enlightened by the mind of Christ and having integrated God's principles with academic pursuits.
