Overview
Escuela Montessori is neither a traditional play school nor a day care program.
Rather, it is a unique cycle of learning designed to take advantage of a child's sensitive years between two and six, where he can absorb information from an enriched environment.
A child who acquires the basic skills of reading and arithmetic in this natural way has the advantage of beginning his education without drudgery, boredom, or discouragement.
By pursuing his individual interests in a montessori classroom, he gains an early enthusiasm for learning.
The cardinal objective of Radford School is to stimulate, at the highest level, the search for knowledge, skill, and understanding.
Our objectives is to instill in each student a sense of duty, honor, integrity and good manners, as well as respect for oneself and others, develop students who can think clearly, objectively, creatively, and independently and who can read critically and write intelligently, develop student communication skills in writing and speaking, develop student insight into the institutions and values with which society is concerned, develop an appreciation for cultural diversity and cross cultural understanding, and prepare, stimulate, and encourage each student to pursue a post-secondary education after graduation.
