Elite Preparatory Academy is a non-religious private school located at 17 Schoolhouse Road, Somerset, New Jersey.
Its main campus include a 90,000 square feet former AT&T training facilities on 14 acres completed with two auditoriums, two large dining facilities, 60 classrooms, indoor and outdoor basketball court and offices with 600 parking space, outdoor track and field and a newly constructed offsite dormitory for the boarding students. The school is accredited by New Jersey Association of Independent School.
The school is also approved by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) to issue I-20 to accept foreign students.
Majority of its high school students are from China looking to go to a well known, prestigious colleges in the U.S. In addition to the regular curriculum, the school offer a number of college level courses including AP Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Biology, AP physics, AP Chemistry, AP world history, and AP Music theory.
The average SAT score for the students from China is about 1400 and 1300 for the local American students.
Most student receive perfect score of 800 on the SAT math. Colleges that accept its graduates include among others, University of British Columbia, Purdue University (Indiana), Ohio State University, University of Washington (Seattle), Rutgers University (Bush Campus), Rutgers Business School, (Livingston Campus) Boston University, Stony Brook University, University of California (Irvine, Santa Cruz, Davis), and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The school offer authentic Chinese language and culture classes in pace with the school curriculum in Taiwan or China. The school also offer a variety of after school programs, including GO Club, Ping Pong Club, Chinese Opera Club, Basketball, track and field, and badminton Club Most of its students took and passed the American Mathematics Competition (AMC) tests.
Some also passed American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME). Cost of attending the Elite Preparatory is $35,000 per year for two semesters, including tuition and room and board.
The school offer very generous scholarship to the students whose parents couldn't afford a private school and choose to educate their kids at home.
