Children's Center of the East Whittier provide meaningful experiences for children to grow and develop in a warm and loving social climate, including emphasis on Christian teachings. Objectives of the Children's Center is to provide a safe, nurturing environment in which a child is able to develop socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually, enrich the children's world through the creative arts, music, stories, books, nature, and science, insure that the children's insatiable curiosity remains alive, encouraging them to explore, investigate, learn, and to think independently, provide specially designed toys and equipment to encourage development of large and small muscles.

Serving children and their families since 1906 with programs of the highest quality, Broadoaks is a private, non-profit demonstration school serving approximately 400 children in preschool through 8th grade and their families during the school year and summer programs each year.
The school emphasizes developmentally-based early childhood, elementary and middle school education as the foundation for later school success, social responsibility, and lifelong learning.
