Overview
The staff of Christ Church Day School believes the ideal setting for learning is based on respect for the dignity of each child. Within this setting, students progress through a sequential and challenging curriculum.
We believe children work to their full academic potential in an atmosphere where they feel valued and are engaged in joyful learning.
Underlying everything we do at Christ Church Day School is an education based on values, academic excellence, service learning, inclusiveness, and respect for diversity.
We desire that children become lifelong learners. While basic skills are the foundation of our curriculum, the curriculum is not used as an end in itself, but as a means to excite each child about learning.
By addressing how children learn, teachers can engage them in activities that gradually build self-discipline and present them with age-appropriate opportunities to reason and reflect on experiences.
Sacred Heart Parish School have the privilage of partnering with Monarch School.
Monarch School is a school for homeless children in downtown San Diego that serves approximately 150 students in grades 3-12.
The school is part of the San Diego City School system, and because of the needs of the students, free breakfasts, lunches, laundry facilities, and extra tutoring are available, but the school cannot provide the little extras that would help to make a homeless kid feel like a' regular' kid.
At Sacred Heart Coronado our mission is to encourage students to embrace the rich heritage of our Catholic Faith Tradition in an educational setting of compassion, justice, charity, and service.
The administration and teaching staff, together with the parents, are dedicated to providing an education that will result in the formation of the whole person - spiritual, moral, emotional, intellectual, and physical.
