Notes for Prospective Students

Teacher Recommendations (2): a current, or previous teacher (English and Mathematics) is required to submit a confidential, written assessment of the applicant’s strengths and weaknesses. Recommendations from both teachers must be sent under separate cover. Download the Teacher Recommendation and Request for Academic Records forms. Academic Records and Standardized Testing results: the completed Request for Academic Records form should be given to the applicant’s current school. The academic records must include course grades and standardized test scores for the past year (2012-13) and current year (2013-14), as they become available. Student Visit & Interview: all prospective students are required to complete a student visit and an informal interview with the Admissions Committee. A completed online application and the application fee must be received prior to the visit. Reservations are required; the online reservation system will open September 9th. ISEE Admissions Test / or other acceptable entrance exam The Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) is the preferred standardized test for students applying for admission to Pinewood School's Upper Campus. ISEE testing will be offered at Pinewood School on February 1, 2014. This session is only for students that have applied to Pinewood School. After receipt of a completed application and the application fee, the Admissions Office will email a registration code to use during the ERB online registration process. Pinewood's school code is #051512. Applicants may take the ISEE exam at another testing facility. For alternate test dates, exam content, and additional registration information, visit the ERB website. ISEE test results will be sent directly to Pinewood School. Results from an alternate entrance exam may be used in lieu of the ISEE. Please contact the Admissions Office for confirmation. Decision letters are mailed on March 14, 2014.
