Notes for Prospective Students
The Admissions Process - Our admissions process begins upon the
receipt of an application (visit our website at
www.pardesschool.org.) During the admissions process you will have
an opportunity to visit Pardes to get a glimpse of life at our
school. The Admissions Office holds open house events and personal
tours, which are designed to be informative and comfortable for
parents and children. Classroom Visit - Applicants are required to
spend a day with a student "buddy" at their appropriate grade
level. Applicants will get to meet students in the class and get a
feel for the academics, specialty classes, and athletics at PJDS.
Screening - During the admissions process, we seek to learn about
the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of each
applicant. In addition to the careful review of teacher
recommendations and progress reports, age appropriate screening
and/or testing are part of our admissions process. The Admissions
Committee reviews all relevant information before making their
recommendation for acceptance to the school. 6 Easy Steps - Review
the Admissions packet. Call Pardes Jewish Day School (480-991-9141,
ext. 503) for further information and to make an appointment with
the Admissions Director for a personal tour of the school. Complete
and submit the application (103kb Acrobat PDF) along with the
non-refundable application fee. This fee will be refunded if we do
not accept your child as a student. Once all paperwork has been
submitted, schedule a classroom visit to enable your child to
experience the school and to allow our staff to get to know your
child. After the classroom visit, the Admissions Committee will
meet to review all relevant information and make a recommendation
for acceptance to Pardes. If your family is in need of scholarship
assistance, please speak with the Director of Admissions for a
confidential meeting. We participate in the community Student
Tuition Organization (STO) that evaluates requests and makes award
determinations. Those applying early have an increased likelihood
of receiving scholarships. Providing individual attention to each
student and family is a hallmark of PJDS. We look forward to having
the opportunity to meet with you and beginning the admissions
process
