Two of my children attended Oakdale - one for three years and one for five. Both benefitted from the small class sizes, rigorous coursework, and strong relationships with their teachers. Though they would have liked to have taken more AP or dual credit classes than were offered, both are now in (or have graduated from college). Both received very high scores on the ACT (thank you, Oakdale) and, consequently, scholarships for college. Many times, we have talked as a family about how important the academic foundation the boys received at Oakdale was to their success post-high school.

Oakdale Christian Academy is a great place to have a balance of both excelling in education and preparation for your future and also making life-long friendships and being around a community that loves and supports you. You will not find many high schools that are rooting for you and have given their lives to this ministry. I have been attending Oakdale for four years and it's been the best experience I have ever had in my life. Yes, there were challenges, but the faculty/staff here supported me and wanted the best for you, and had your back. With academics, there is a ton of one-on-one support. They make sure that you can understand the concepts and go at an appropriate pace. You still have discipline at Oakdale, but it helps prepare you for the real world and your future. There are so many events and activities that are fun and memorable! While it is a Christian boarding school, they do not force people to become Christian. This is a very inviting and welcoming community that accepts those of all religions and respects you and your beliefs too. I became a Christian at the end of my Sophomore year and it's saved my life I enjoy being in this community that helps me grow spiritually, physically, mentally, and academically. I love Oakdale Christian Academy and I would recommend sending your kid here. It's an experience of a lifetime!

We enrolled our son at Oakdale after trying counseling, youth challenge programs, etc. $24k+ later our son was exposed to " -Teaching character, encouraging excellence, upholding the Christian faith and values while giving teenagers life purpose and direction."I guess part of this teaching and purpose is to groom young men. My son now has a new "dad" Mr. P that is continuing to communicate with my son via text and Facebook. These communications offer my son a place to stay with Mr. P, in addition to expert advice and encouragement to survive his time in an abusive household. There is also the bit about my son having an exorcism and drinking holy water that led to his "conversion".. but that`s a story for a different day. If your child finds themselves in trouble academically and with the law, I would strongly encourage you to look at more expensive programs that are run with professional staff and program outlines.

I attended oakdale for almost two years and it was the best thing that could have ever happen to me. I have so much good things to say about oakdale and no negative things, but the best thing I can say about oakdale is it grew me closer to god. I would never have the relationship I do now with the lord of it wasn't for oakdale. Oakdale matures you, Inspires you, and wants the best for you. The staff treat you like you are they children the love there is unreal. I would never forget my time there and regret leaving it so soon. If you are reading this review thinking about going to oakdale I promise you, you will not regret atttending. I love oakdale and wish nothing but the best for it in the future.

All of my sons attended and two of my sons are graduates of Oakdale Christian Academy and have since gone on to graduate from college and are established in career fields. More important than even that to me is the knowledge that they learned a lot about establishing godly homes and living lives of high character from the staff and instructors at OCA. They learned how to learn, and can now teach themselves most anything they would want to know. There are many young minds and hearts watching your life when you live and work at Oakdale. It is the God-centered lives of integrity that were the most valuable to me.

Oakdale is not a perfect school. It is a school that has helped many students through their program! I attended Oakdale for four years and I loved it!! There are many opportunities for students to be active! Students also get a chance to show Jesus'' love to others through ministry opportunities and fellowship!

I worked at Oakdale for 1.5 years in the girls dorm, and it was a wonderful experience. I was encouraged and challenged daily by the love and dedication the staff and teachers show for the students. It is a transformative environment, providing the love, discipline and encouragement that students need to succeed. The school is very holistic in their dedication, seeking to reach and challenge the students not just academically, but also emotionally and spiritually.

Great school with low teacher student ratio. Students from around the world attend opening all the students eyes to other countries and the way they live, hands on.
