We seek to glorify God first in all our actions. (Colossians 3:23)The church has been called to be ambassadors for Christ and stewards of God`s gifts. (2 Corinthians 5:20)Parents have been given the primary responsibility for the training and education of their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:4)Teachers have been given as gifts to the church for her edification and the advancement of the kingdom of God. (Ephesians 4:11)Every student is created in the image of God with ability to reason which must be cultivated and directed into God`s service. (Matthew 19:14; Colossians 1:28, 2:2; 1 John 3:2)Since the Holy Scriptures is the special revelation of God, it is our final rule in faith and practice. Everything not expressly set down in the Holy Scriptures is to be ordered by the light of nature. (1689 Baptist Confession of Faith, Article 1.1)
